Great hitch
Easy to install. The hardest part was unscrewing the old bolts. Works great but I only have had it for a week

Fit car fine.
Took to local shop for install. Working great.

Easy to install, looks fine.
Went right on with just 7 bolts! The instructions are crap, so watch the video. The rear frame mounting position is extremely weak (the car's fault, not the hitch's fault), so don't use more than a bike rack or luggage platform on it. No trailers!!! Consider an extender or you may scrape up your bumper.

Worked for 2014 Buick Lacrosse
Its a quality unit that is mostly customized for this series of cars. The documentation is ok. They tried but it falls short in the quality of pictures and showing how it works on different models . I got it figured out eventually but you need to be patient and try a few options. I'm just using it to add a platform for some light weight gear we take to the beach. This has a 1.25" square receiver and I also bought an offset adapter (1.25" to 2.0") so I could use a 2.0" platform (more options and I can use in my truck as well) . The offset seems necessary although I didnt scrape except for once.

Great hitch for impala
Great hitch for our 2017 impala. Installation went fairly smooth, although some stripped bolt heads that needed to be grinded off took a while. Like anything, the first time doing an install on a vehicle takes a while. I think it took me an hour and a half. If I had to do it again I could probably do it in under 30 minutes.

Easy install!
Curt actually had videos for many vehicles that are also available on YouTube. Even with just a floor jack/on-your-back install it only took about 30 minutes. Wiring kit actually took longer by 15 minutes, only use vehicle-specific wiring harness/control unit (newer vehicles it's a lot more complicated than scotch-locs on existing wires!)

2017 Impala Premium - It's "okay" but only option there is.
I don't know why people buy pickup trucks when you can buy a car and a harbor freight foldable trailer which stores in your garage and still get 30mpg! Anyway, so that's what I do. With my new 2017 Impala Premium I needed a hitch so I bought this. Installation is not super easy, at least compared with my Curt 2007 Ford Focus hitch. You have to cut away a bit of the underside of the bumper plastic (not visible). The hitch bolts into the bumper mount brackets as well as to one of the rear suspension brackets. The bumper mount attachment does NOT look very strong to me. Perhaps that's why this hitch only supports 300lbs tongue weight. That in itself shouldn't be a huge problem as most of the weight will be born by the trailer suspension, but that bracket... it's just a folded piece of sheet metal. The other problem with the bumper bracket mount point is that the mounting bolt goes through a weld-nut. No big deal, until you try to tighten it down and the weld nut breaks off because the hitch cannot be flush against it. This happens even to pros (there's a youtube video of a Uhaul installer facing the same problem - they say you don't need to worry about it). The pass-through bolt in this mount has a nut on the rear to keep it in, but it just doesn't feel super solid to me. The suspension mount point is much more secure but only supports the lateral tow weight. Unlike my last hitch that could bolt directly to the car frame, this one seems almost like a jury-rigged solution, but at least there is somebody making a hitch for this car! This hitch is pretty low, but on the 2017 Impala it's no lower than any other component under the car. So I don't expect any scraping. Other applications have mentioned scraping, but I don't see it happening with my car. All in all, since this is the only real option for towing with the late model Impala, I recommend this hitch. I just really wish it more directly bolted to the car's frame somehow.
