Easy to use, amazing results

Used it to install handles/pulls on a set of Ikea cabinets. I recommend this tool for consistency in the installation. Installing handles calls for some precision (you want the handles to be aligned properly, and you want to avoid drilling holes in the wrong spots or at the wrong distance if the pull requires two holes), and this tool will help you to achieve the desired precision / accuracy / consistency. Either use a tool like this one or similar products, or else craft your own home-made jig / template. Overall, once you figure out how to set and use the jig, it will help you to speed along the work (and hopefully make no mistakes!). You will need a clamp or two to hold the jig. You will of course need a drill and a drill bit (with enough length to it, to accommodate both the jig's depth and the depth of the cabinet door/drawer). One thing I wished for was a greater surface area to enable clamping the template without having the clamps get in the way of drilling. I also wished the raised text at the edge of the jig (i.e. the ruler markings) were painted for easier reading. I kind of wish there was a pair of small inserts that allow the running of very fine drill bits for a centered pilot hole all the way through, as that would allow drilling the laminated surfaces on both sides slightly (to get very clean cuts) -- otherwise, with the current setup, the entry point (on the outward face) is very clean, while the exit point is not such a clean cut in the laminate. These are minor points. Overall I'm quite happy with the purchase. I did break a couple of drill bits (using 3/16") while using the jig. Not sure if it was poor quality drill bits, the material of the Ikea cabinets, maybe holding the drill at a slight angle (that could contribute to lateral stress on the drill bit), or some other factor. Not sure I can attribute that to the jig.

I installed 38 separate handles (on both cabinets and drawers) in our kitchen and I couldn't have kept my marriage or sanity intact without this tool! The jig is very easy to use and it's absolutely indispensable if you're doing more than just a handful of knobs or handles. I truly appreciate the durability and precision of the metal drill guides that keep your bit focused and straight. They are easy to position and it's very clear what's going on, even if you barely skim the instruction manual (like me). The plastic and metal parts are well chosen and the whole assembly should last for hundreds of uses--you could lend it to all your neighbors for their handles and it would still be perfect when it comes back. The only negative I can think of is that this doesn't come with a face clamp--you really do need some sort of clamp with it, and I purchased the Kreg Face Clamp since my existing C-clamps would have required adjusting every time and have very small surfaces that could have dented my cabinets. If you already have a nice clamp, then this jig is ready to go. If not, you'll want to buy one unless you have a second person who can (firmly!) hold the jig in place.

Made installing cabinet handles easy

Life saver! Had to drill 69 drawer pulls (138 holes). This was easy to use and keep the holes perfectly lined up. The metal drill bit guides are amazing, no guessing if the hole is straight or angled, the guides do the work for you. I still used a plastic cheap template to mark the holes and then used this to line up the marks and drill the holes out. Spend the money and get the job done right and easily

I should have bought one of these things years ago, what a time saver this jig is! It's made high quality, I suspect it'll last many years. This has made my life much easier, I've already used it for over a dozen cabinet drawers and doors, and couldn't imagine not owning one of these again. This jig is accurate and easy to set up and use.

I refinished my old kitchen cabinets and I’m doing so I filled all the holes from the old handles so that I could change them out (they had been on an angle). This left me with the daunting job of drilling into over 40 cabinet doors and drawers. As a diy-er it felt very daunting, I had considered making my own template and had researched some other jigs however decided to purchase this one as it’s from a great and reliable brand and I liked how sturdy it was. All I can say is wow, I’m so happy I did! It made the job so easy and I was able to do my kitchen in less than 2 hours (as a first timer). If you need to drill holes for cabinet pulls/knobs this is a must-have in my opinion!

I tried to make my own jig and it was okay but not great. This one is great. You won't need it often unless you're a professional, but even if you only do one kitchen cabinet this is worth the price for an excellent result.
