Storelli BodyShield Leg Guards, Premium Compression Shin Guard Sleeves for Soccer Players, UV-Resistant, Unisex, 1 Pair

This is my 3rd paid of Storelli Leg Sleeves, my other 2 are the shorter calf-length version, which doesn't includes the ankle protection. I play indoor and outdoor soccer, on turf and grass, so I feel I’ve put them through a fair amount of wear. The fabric Storelli uses for these is great! My socks have ripped/torn from sliding, yet these hold up against all the abrasion, and so far are still in very good shape - no holes or tears as of yet (I would estimate having played ~25 games with these). The sleeve is just tight enough to hold the shin guard in place, but not too tight as to cut off circulation (assuming you purchased the correct size sleeve). Normally I tape above and below the shin guards to hold them in place, but with these sleeves, I do not need to use tape. The top of the sleeves are elastic, and have additional rubberized textured grips on the inside to keep them in place - they definitely work! Taking them off is as easy as rolling the sleeve from the top down; don’t try pulling from the bottom...the rubberized inner grip will grip your skin, and you might tear the stitching. As for the additional padding on the ankle and outside rear of the calf, it’s fairly thin, but durable and protective. Please don’t think that padding is as protective as a shin guard, it is not; however, it absolutely helps your calf from a mildly grazing kick, or rough ground that might typically give you a turf burn. Washing - just throw them in the washing machine..super easy! Storelli advises not to dry them in a dryer (I’ve followed these instructions, so I cannot say whether or not these will hold up in a dryer). Do I recommend these? Absolutely Yes! Especially for younger kids who are playing competitively.

The Daughter plays club soccer and she loves them. She uses Adidas Predator plates. They fit in the pocket perfect and don’t slide around. The padding provides great protection but not bulky enough to get in the way. I would recommend using ankle socks and leg sleeves for comfort. Apposed to traditional soccer socks. She has played six games and practice four days a week, and they still look brand new. Great quality. Will definitely buy again when she out grows them

My 9-year-old daughter plays club soccer and she *loves* these. She feels confident and safe. She had outgrown her previous generic full ankle shin guards (the kind you'd buy at any big box store), plus they had gotten pretty stinky. I love that we can wash these. The fit seems OK, although at 4' 4" (when we bought them) I regret ordering the Small instead of the Medium for her. She also has larger feet, and so the ankle area seems to be the hardest part of these to get on. At her age, there is still a lot of stepping on / kicking in the ankles, and so the padding on the ankles was still a must for me. We're two seasons in and they've held up splendidly. I'm certain we'll outgrow them before they break down. I would recommend going a size up if you're within an inch or two of their size chart, especially since it seems my daughter will have long outgrown these before they wear out. I've been happy enough with these to consider trying their goalkeeper gear.

I bought these at least a couple of years ago and they have worked excellet. Never I had such a great experience dealing with shinguards, I have played soccer since I can remember and will never buy any other sort of shin guards. Believe me, I've tried them all and these are the most comfortable, lightweight, easy to put on and most important, they do keep the shinguard in it's right place at all times, even after being hit on the shin!!! I have at least used them in 60 to 70 competitive games (plus countless of practice 6-6 games, both outdoors and indorrs) and there is no damage to them. I do wash them on a washer machine and I have tried to avoid putting them in the dryer machine (but have done so several times by mistake) and they're still in perfect condition after 2 years of use. Whenever they go, I will buy exactly the same set again, worth the money.

I am a pretty fast player and have had issues with defenders kicking my legs for years. I detest large shin pads because they get in my way and don't necessary like the tape or velcro options as they put too much pressure on my legs. Picky I know. I bought these because they have some padding to deflect some of the blows and of course a place to put my nice small Nike shin guard. The best part? They don't move! AT ALL. Like not even a little bit. These things truly are amazing in what they do. Apart from that there are small bits of cushioning on one side of the sock (I put them on the inside) but you can put them wherever you are kicked most often. The one great thing is that there are pads that cover the ankle bones. So I have these, the new Nike socks that are pretty thick and my Nike mercurial which have the sock like Neck which covers the ankle giving even more support. The best part about all of this is that it is super lightweight, doesn't become cumbersome and adds enough protection where I feel more confident. Keep in mind it is a minute amount of padding. Why don't I give these a five? The fit. They run big. They are okay if you have huge cavs. I bought medium according to the sizing chart on the site and they did not fit me securely enough. I returend after one game and purchase youth large. If you are like me and like everything to fit neatly then go small. If you have normal to large cavs go with the suggested size. If you have giant cavs...God be with you

So I have to give a product review this because it made my son feel safe mentally and helped him play the game without worrying about getting his in the legs as he was prior to purchasing this product. I was a bit nervous and skeptical about it with the price tag for what seems like nothing. Again, my son said they felt comfortable and it didn't feel like it was anything additional on his legs. He used these for Football and Futbol. He is the RB for his football team and after numerous games they started targeting his legs as well as some played dirty trying to twist his ankle after the play was dead, helmet to shins etc. This is a 10u team or peewee level. After he got hurt, we looked for ways to boost his confidence by getting him protection at those areas (forearms and shin to ankle area). This fit the bill and after suiting up and getting through the first 2 games with it on. It was no longer an issue. He was comfortable and mentioned several times when getting hit in those areas.. he hardly felt the blow. Had him kick off kids from his ankles if they were holding onto him longer than supposed to so that got fixed quickly. Again, product was phenomenal and boosted my sons confidence. Great product and will buy again in the future as needed.

These are brilliant. I bought them for my 8 year old daughter (youth small). I bought her a small and this size didn't fit tightly on her, but they weren't very loose either. I was worried at first because until you get the guard in (ghost pro YS is what I purchased with this based on other reviews- Thanks for that, couldnt be a better fit), it looked like it was going to shift all over the place....got a bit tighter when she put them in place. Socks went on and she said "wow...this is so much better, I don't feel the scratchy velcro strap" etc. She trained in them aaaand she loves them. I asked her after practice: "felt like I wasn't wearing shinguards at all." I'm a coach and a former player- I highly suggest giving these a shot. The players around this age group can still be a bit clumsy when tackling and these have protection around the outside of the lower calves where players tend to get clipped often. They are alot less bulky around the ankle area with a denser but flexible padding as opposed to the current popular stirrup style. Fantastic design, added protection, breathable, functional. 100% the new standard for my kids- my son tried them tonight- loves them. I'm ordering another set for him.
