I have had several cats that have needed medication. Too bad I waited until now to try a variety of capsule sizes for their various meds! These (and their other sizes) are great. My cancer kitty takes her meds w/o spitting them out 99% of the time. On the 1% of the time she does spit it out, the capsule has protected the contents from beginning to dissolve before I can get it back into her. I was concerned that perhaps they wouldn't dissolve well, but given how well she is doing, I can only believe that they do their job. Even in the smallest size (#5), I can fit multiple meds (she's tiny, so tiny doses) in one capsule and ease her med time. I have even used a larger size, #1, and it wasn't too difficult to use. I like the clear ones for being able to see what I have in there (one med is a tiny amount of a crushed large tablet, so it helps to see how much I've put in). When I buy different sizes, I try to them in different colors so I can easily tell what size I have. I've even used them for liquid meds (#1 & #2 sizes), but have to fill it right before I give it to her, as it will begin to dissolve if I let it sit filled w/med for too long.

These little capsules are the best purchase I’ve made in a while! My dog was prescribed tramadol 3 times a day post surgery. Tramadol has a very bitter, awful taste and smell and especially to dogs who are more sensitive to smell and taste. My dog wouldn’t take her medicine for anything! I tried wrapping it in cheese, turkey, coating it in peanut butter, cream cheese, etc…nothing worked! It ended up with a big mess and me having to forcefully shove it down her throat. And no one likes that! Then upon reading advice on how to get a dog to swallow pills, I came across a suggestion to put the tablet inside an empty gel capsule to disguise taste & smell. Voila! Worked like a charm. These were just as described and super easy to use. The only negative thing I can say about these is the size I chose (size 5) was even smaller than I realized. They were about the size of a Benadryl or maybe slightly smaller. I probably should’ve gone up a size or two to avoid having to cut the pill into multiple pieces and having to distribute two capsules at once instead of one. Good thing they slide right down without her knowing! But that was my mistake on choosing too small of a size. If you’ve got a pet who has a hard time taking certain medication, I highly suggest getting these! Wish I would’ve gotten them sooner!

With the OK from my daughter's pediatrician, I purchased these and crushed up her meds that she needs to take everyday. Because of the taste, she dreaded taking her pills...sometimes it would literally take HOURS for her to swallow 3 pills. So I crushed them up and put them in these gel caps. Now she swallows them in less than 10 minutes. What a world of difference this made! So grateful these exist...it's made both of our lives so much easier!

I purchased these because my senior pug kept spitting out his pain medication on the daily. Unfortunately the pills his medication come in Are way too big for his mouth. He tends to realize it has i try and sneak it in his food and spits it out. These pills are very tiny And can't tell when I sneak them in his treats.

I spent a week getting my arm ripped apart trying to give a cat medicine until I bought these. I crushed up his pills, put them inside these capsules and used a pill popper to give them to him. I can’t tell you how much better it was using these! It was worth every penny..

I was worried that these would be difficult to open, because they're so small. Not to worry! They come apart so easily, fill easily (I give my kitty part of a larger capsule) and close fully and securely. I love the reclosable bag to keep out all moisture (yes, they will dissolve if gotten wet). The small size is just perfect for her, she takes them readily when coated with a thin layer of Pill Pockets. I'll definitely buy them again!

I purchased these to give my cat with asthma some liquid herbal supplement that made her vomit when squirted directly in her mouth and I knew she'd never take it with food. I am able to put 4 -5 drops in, seal the two parts together, and then I coat it with oil to make sure it doesn't burn or stick in her throat. I squirt a little water into the side of her mouth afterwards to make sure it went down. Then I treat her with food so that she has a better association with taking the medicine. It seems to be working so far! Sometimes I end up dropping parts of the capsules because they're so tiny and delicate to handle, but if this works so that she doesn't have to be on steroids for life, I will be a happy camper! I'm really happy with these capsules and the size of them is perfect :)
