Microsoft Original Xbox Kinect Adapter for Xbox One S and Windows 10 PC

After reading reviews and users comment I decided I should go with the Microsoft branded adapter instead of the generic or copycat ones in order to preserve my components. Bought a "like new" adapter and actually received a brand new one. The quality couldn't be any better, as even though Sony/playstation might be better in some things, Microsoft/Xbox is way better in build quality. They feel robust, sturdy and not cheap at all. Cords are really strong and packaging/presentation is as good as it gets. Would buy another one if I have too, specially since they are discontinued.

We use lots of these at work to setup experience stations, and since the original XBOX One Kinect has been discontinued it has been near impossible to find the necessary equipment once they are broken or damaged. We needed an extra set of the Kinect for a new workstation and fortunately Amazon still carried the original sensor and adapter. We didn't have too good of an experience with third party ones, so this worked out perfectly. Thank you!

My wife DESPERATELY wanted us to play just dance together, but what was I to do?! Our Xbox one was not compatible with Kinect we had bought months earlier and I did not want to incur my wife's wrath as I gave her Just Dance as her birthday present. Before my imminent death, I came up with a solution "I'll buy an adapter." Loe and behold it works. Now my wife is the one in danger of me dominating her in Just Dance.

This is a good product the only thing I do not like about it is that you have to have this adapter to use the Kinect on an Xbox 1S the S stands for Slim. Now that is not the sellers fault that is Microsoft. But it allows me to use my Xbox 1S to its full potential. My niece loves it because she can now play Just Dance. I have never found a bad product with Microsoft yet.

I purchased this off of the listing for Windows 10. I have been on the fence about purchasing a 930e as a camera. Then I saw this listing and realized I had a Xbox One Kinect sitting on a self not being used. I figured why not, this route would be cheaper and possibly workout better as I was always happy with how well the Kinect functioned with my Xbox One. Hey that was my first mistake.As for the adapter itself it does function and creates a connection between the Kinect and your PC. It comes in a box that really is much bigger than it needs to be for what you get. Now the contents are a puzzle to me as it seems like there are many other ways this could have been accomplished. I say this as there are multiple cord, connections and adapter boxes. Everything only hooks up one way so directions are not really necessary and in the place of them you get what I can best describe as a map, which is actually more appropriate for way this goes together. For those of you that pay a lot of attention to cord management, I hope your Kong-Fu is strong as this will be a challenge.Once connected to the pc this is not a plug and play setup and it will frustrate you. I can only hope that updates are on the way to make this more functional, only time will tell.The good news is I plan to purchase an Xbox One S and this will not end up being a complete waste of money.

This adapter to connect Kinect to pc is a waste of money and basically just stealing from us because I spoke for 2 hours with Microsoft and there are no games for Kinect on PC except one called wallball and its cheezy kick soccer ball game. So why is it being sold? I am very hurt. They offer no games for kinect on pc but VRR works but not Kinect even though the games was made for it. I even bought some games thinking was going to work. Bought sensor adapter and some games for my gransons xmas and now I am broke and xmas is ruined unless they send me an xbox or a vrr set up which not going to happen so a 50 year old man is crying and now has nothing to give his grandson for xmas. I am very hurt by this I feel robbed and cheated and lied to! I have never felt so bad about something of the sort. I am furious and it needs to stop. They take our money with the impression this adapter will let us play games on pc ... well maybe would if there was games for Kinect on pc. But there is not so stop cheating us my god this is wrong on so many levels. I am out 250 bucks right now and have no work till jaunary and no way to get anything else for my 3.5 yr old grand son and I have to let him down now so this is such a present thank Microsoft for ruining our xmas. Send me an xbox or vrr set to make it right not going to happen though I am just screwed and have to let my grandson down!

Adapter works fine. It is designed for the first gen of the Kinect sensor. The new Senor models are USB and there is no need for this adapter. I had the Day One edition of Xbox One so it came with the old sensor. I got the new Xbox One S and wanted to utilize the Kinect. It is a bit on the pricey side, but it is cheaper than having to buy a new Sensor. Would recommend it.
