J-U-N-K
I ordered this to go with my JL Audio system - amps and subs. I have no problem to pay up for quality. There are many less expensive options on Amazon. But I wanted top quality, I have always been happy with JL Audio products. This one - is J-U-N-K. The Bluetooth part works as expected (could only briefly test).I connected the RCA end to my JL Audio amp, it worked fine. I needed to disconnect the RCA jacks from the amp (for cable clean-up / organizing, etc). I am careful when I remove RCA jacks, as i know cheap ones will separate. And of course, that's exactly what these do... The RCA cable came apart at the RCA connector with very little pressure. I used a pair of pliers to remove the part still on the RCA jack.... I noticed 1 (only 1) teeny teeny tiny bit of solder, on one section of the RCA sleeve. That's alllllll that was holding it to the RCA cable. So it was painfully obvious why it came off / apart so easily.Beyond cheap - I've had $1,99 RCA cables from Wal Mart with better RCA jack quality than this.. I am returning, highly disappointed in the QA for this item from JL Audio - especially for a product 3 - 4 times more expensive than other similar products.

Updated my old Clarion
I purchased a 2004 Sea Ray Sundeck with the stock Clarion XMD-3 head unit. I simply found the AUX in RCA jacks, a hot switched wire and ground. Was very easy to install and pair with the phone. The range is great in that I'm able to connect and control from anywhere on the boat including the swim platform. I would recommend as an easy upgrade to bluetooth without having to upgrade head units.

Great product will purchase more for my other vehicles.
Great product and sound. Installed unit on my old retro old school head unit on my 1966 Chevy truck. Head unit has aux plugs. Powering 1500 w blaupunk 4 Chanel amp with 10” sub amp also from blaupunk. In regards to ppl reviews that had problems with buzz noise. I want to put out couple good suggestions that could help. 1. thing I learned if you are running it or putting close to your amp power line or rca cable units will pick up the buzz noise. 2. if you can tap it directly to the same switch power as the head unit for both ground and power you would higher chance not picking up the buzzing noise. Same before without installing this Bluetooth units with basic installation if you run any speakers out close to power source you will pick up the power current buzzing noise. I had my power wires totally separated from the RCA cable lines. Hope this help.

Well worth the money
Ill give a 100% honest review here this thing its fantastic in every way, let me explain... first the ease of install in my 72 c10 was a breeze one power one ground, the hardest part was i needed to wait for a dual 3.5mm to aux adapter for my Kenwood stereo which Simply plugged in. From there, I'm not sure what people are attacking this for as far as some beep thats overwhelming to their eardrums when it connects via bluetooth, maybe its just me but in my dead silent garage I installed the main unit near the steering column under the dash on the firewall, and when it connected i had to lean underneath to even hear it connect (I was expecting a shotgun blast deafening sound effect from some of the reviews.) it beeped once as far as a comparison for how loud, id say half as loud as a simple text notification. It played everything on youtube to Spotify just fine without disconnecting. Only thing i cant review is how long and durable it holds up yet only had it one month. I have this as 5 stars for these reasons and if it fails prematurely then i will do an update to keep others posted...Until then I wouldnt worry about its quality this things great.

Maybe I got a bad unit but not impressed at all.
I'm not sure if I'm the only one with this issue or not but my unit had a terrible buzzing sound while connected to my cars aux connections and power source was the same as the xm radio's digital module. Well thought perhaps a grounding issue so clipped the ground wire and the unit stayed powered on unit only powered down after removing the rca audio connectors and when removing one at time right audio was much less volume level than the left input. Once both jacks being disconnected unit powered off. Connected another source of audio up to the aux and music was crisp and clear. Which leads me to believe audio ground is being shared with units bt module ground. So also use a separate power source for the unit and distortion of the audio was still there. Maybe I got a bad unit but not impressed at all.

Have been running this unit for about 6 months now and it works great! Ditch the cord and spend the extra to Bluetooth your phone to your speakers. I am using this on my motorcycle, Bluetooth reconnects very fast after leaving and coming back and switching unit off and back on. Sometimes I have to go to settings and select it but most of the time it reconnects on its own, not a problem either way. Excellent quality wire and in line fuse also. I would defiantly recommend.

Very surprised with performance.
I read all the reviews on this product before purchasing. I believe the good outweighed the not so good reviews. I installed this in the fairing of my ‘11 Ultra on the bottom side of the antenna plate. My XM antenna is on top of that plate. Put a zip-tie on it just for insurance. Wired to accessory switch so I could turn off when needed. I run my XM off the same Aux. The input is split between the two. I also bought the RCA to 3.5 pin adapter to use with the BT and to tie it to my Aux connection. I walked probably fifty feet (straight line, no obstructions) before my music started breaking up on the bike. I turned around and it picked back up. That’s good enough for me. I think I got a good one.

Great way to get streaming input to a vintage amplifier.
This Bluetooth device just works. I used a surplus power supply to power the receiver and used it a input to a vintage amplifier. This gives me a great option for listening to streaming radio and music files from an old phone that had just lying around. It took me a couple of tries to get the Bluetooth connection initiated, but once connected the receiver works flawlessly.
