TIME-SERTInch Kit 10-24 Part # 0024

Very expensive for what it is, but much more robust feeling/looking than a standard heli-coil. I used these instead of a heli-coil to fix a boat bimini top support that pulled out of the windshield frame on a 2004 Sea Ray bowrider since the windshield frame I was repairing was hollow, leaving very little for the heli-coil to grab onto. Although pricey, I was impressed by how strong they looked/felt and the small design features, like the slightly undersized inner threads that are expanded into the tapped hole to be repaired by the installer tool to prevent the inserts from backing out and the countersink tool included in the kit so that the insert stays flush with the surface.I would buy these again for projects requiring a durable repair (e.g. head studs) or where a standard heli-coil would otherwise not work for one reason or another. I won't be giving up heli-coils though for more mundane projects due to the price difference.

Very nice kit that results in high quality repairs. I used this, along with a stainless 0.37" TIME-SERT insert to repair the reed bar on a Wurlitzer 200A electric piano.

Time Serts are the best! Saved a $500 motorcycle front master cylinder from the trash with this kit. All the components are top shelf and I have no doubt the setup will be around long after I’m in the ground.
