Pulling the first string opened the pinata. No surprise for the kids.
Product pretty much did what we wanted, all except for pulling one string made the whole hole open up. So, the first kid who pulled the string got the candy. The other kids were pissed that they didn't even get a chance to pull a string. In case you didn't notice, the pinata works on the method there are 20 or so strings hanging underneath and you pull a string and it opens the bottom. I assume every string doesn't open the bottom. I guess it is possible the first kid just happened to pull the very string that opened it up, but I highly doubt it, I think it was just a bogus set up to start with. Pros: The pinata itself though is extremely nice and very well made.Cons: Pulling the first string opened the pinata.

Broken ear
I mean, c'mon, I bought a Pokemon pinata online. What do you expect? That being said, my 6-year old's birthday party was Pokemon on steroids, and we searched for all kinds of deals. This pinata was a nice feature, at a minimum another activity for the kids ... but it was pretty small and one of the ears had broken off (think "toilet paper roll"). Now that I think about it, the nose was also busted in upon delivery, and I didn't suspect it was due to Amazon/UPS ... but a quick poke with a stick up there popped it back out. Don't get your hopes up, but it was a pretty solid deal on yet another Pokemon party favor.

It is REALLY cute and made for a great party decoration (and is now on display in my son's room). It also held a good amount of candy. I'm just not a fan of the pull string pinatas. First string pulled the flap open and candy started falling out, so we just had everyone reach in and grab the remaining strings and pull together.

A helicopter parent's dream pinata.
This pinata was fantastic and my daughter loved it. See, when I was about 11 years old, I got the kind that you could smash, and on my birthday I ended up getting smashed in the nose by a swinging metal bat. Luckily I had a bump on my nose that no longer needed to be cosmetically fixed after that, but it ruined my day. It actually ended up storming on my daughter's big day(April showers and all that jazz), luckily we had this pinata and I was able to hold it up while the kids pulled the strings. They all loved it, it was beautiful and since it didn't get smashed to bits, she got to keep it!

He loved and all the kids had a great time taking ...
We got this for my son's fifth birthday party. He loved and all the kids had a great time taking turns hitting it. I didn't realize until I bought it that it had a trap door on the bottom that let the candy out. Not what I expected but it turned out ok in the end. Would have given 5 stars but where you put the candy it was hard to cover up afterward.

Poor pikachu...
This was actually a bit smaller than I expected but that's only myself to fault. This was a huge surprise for all the kids, they love Pikachu. We ended up using a bat instead of the strings, it broke between the hands and feet and one kid was wearing the top as a mask the rest of the time.

Ear was broke off when I opened it but I called them and they gave me 20% off since the party was 2 days away. It was cute but I didn't care much for the pull string. My grandson had it open on the first pull. Wasn't fair to the rest of the kids.

A Piñata thats a little too well made
We had this for a 7 year old part with multiple kids during spring baseball. It took 10 rounds to get this thing opened up. The kids had a blast, but the parents wanted it to open sooner. All in all a good piñata, just made really well.

Birthday Decoration
This Pikachu Pinata is perfect for our granddaughter's birthday party. She loves anything Pokemon and has chosen these dynamic little pocket monsters as her party theme. This colourful pinata is a special addition to the other Pokemon decorations we have purchased. It is well constructed, a great depiction of Pikachu and really cute.
