The central nail on the replacement heel cap may require the drilling of a small hole in the heel column. A power craft tool such as a Dremel is ideal for creating the space to receive the nail. The nail is narrow at its distant tip, then wider slower to the heel cap Use a drill narrower than the nail and drill no deeper than the length of the nail into the heel column. Then use a slightly wider drill to widen the hole to accommodate the slightly wider upper portion of the nail. The wider portion of the nail should fit snugly into the hole and can be gently tapped in with a lightweight craft hammer. Put a single small drop of Gorilla glue or other brand into the hole before inserting the nail. The glue will layer out into the space between the heel column and the new heel cap. After tapping the cap into place, immediately wipe away any glue ooze. The glue should set within minutes, but wait 24 hours before walking on the shoe.

Not bad. The tips are a little bit smaller than the heel of the shoe, but they work. I glued them in to be sure they stayed, since the holes left by wrenching the ruined heels off were pretty big, but so far these are hanging in there.

Seem like quality tips they fit my heels perfectly easy to install & made my heels wearable again for reasonable cost!

Purchased to see if shoes with wider heals could be repaired without taking to shoe repair shop which would have cost much more than the multi pack would have. The pins were a little tight, but I was able to drive them in after removing the old broken heal and they look good again.
