Works so well with Mac You Might Have to Buy Twice
This dock works great with my Macbook. It has all the ports I need to connect to the internet directly for faster speeds and an additional LG widescreen monitor (HDMI). It works so well that I've had to buy it twice because someone stole my old one from me at a recent conference.

So useful I bought a 2nd one!
I've been working hybrid for a long time and have always had a decent home office setup. During my two years of work-from-home I brought my employer-issued dock (Thinkpad brand) home, and added a bunch of peripherals for a larger screen, better sound, and a better camera. Now I work from home about 70% of the time. My employer recently issued me a new laptop, and made it clear that I wasn't getting a new dock and that any home office setup was at my own expense. After going into mild shock at the price of the Thinkpad dock, I decided to do without a dock the 30% of time I'm in the office. The problem with no dock is that I spent the first ten minutes of my day (or so it seemed) searching for cables that liked to hide under my desk, then plugging them into my computer. Then if I needed to take my laptop to someone else's office or a meeting - repeat the process. Of course I also quickly ran out of USB-A and USB-C ports and had to add a mini-hub. And then there's those tiny bluetooth adaptors that are just waiting to get lost. So I went in search of an affordable, reliable dock that 1) had an ethernet connection to replace the adaptor my laptop required, 2) supported 4K/60Hz video out for my monitor. This one worked perfectly and found a place on my desk at work. But let's not forget travel. On the road I like to have my laptop, iPad, and frequently a DSLR for my photography hobby. The utility of this little dock was quickly demonstrated on a group trip where we wanted to play video over an external display, and also exchange photos and video via USB drives. The dock performed like a champ and our tour guides took down the information to purchase their own. At a conference where I was presenting the hotel didn't provide an HDMI adaptor for those of us with modern laptops - problem solved by the dock! I eventually had to take an unplanned trip when I had left my dock plugged in at my office 90 minutes from home. Working remote in a hotel room I missed the convenience of the dock so much that my first action after arriving at home was to buy a 2nd one.As for durability - I've used it in my office since May 2022 without any issues (except my laptop doesn't like me if I don't power it down between different dock models). In the office I use the USB-C power input, ethernet input, HDMI output, and two USB-A (keyboard and USB mini-hub for camera and wireless mouse adaptor. I've also taken it on numerous transcontinental and international trips in just a Tumi cable organizer stored in the outside pocket of my backpack with my laptop power supply, and it has survived.Highly recommended for corporate road warriors, and travelers who like photography and video and need to transfer files to a laptop or iPad.

Works well, susceptible to noise
This is a simple and functional dock. It looks nice, feels high quality, and works well for my purposes. One caveat: when I turn a small IKEA LED desk lamp plugged into the same surge suppressor on or off, the noise that lamp puts onto the line causes this dock to lose connection with my computer and then reconnect an instant later. It’s not a big deal. The dock reconnects quickly… it’s just worth noting that its stability In the face of electrical noise is not perfect.

Sturdy, compact, and useful
I mostly use this with my laptop to connect a regular USB mouse, as a micro SD card reader, and occasionally to connect to a TV or HDMI monitor. It's lightweight, but it's made of metal and is pretty sturdy. I could stand on it without damaging it. My only complaint is that it gets a bit warm after a while, but not uncomfortably hot.

Works very well, great build, but the network traffic light is bright
I bought this hub to work with my 11 inch iPad Pro and it works without a problem. It also works just as well with my MacBook Air. No problems with any of the connection features and network tests reached speeds just above 1GB so the speed advertised is backed up by the device. The only negative is that the network traffic light is so bright I thought I had a disco starting in my office. A small piece of tape fixed this and it still shines through enough to see traffic flowing. The device is made of aluminum and is extremely rugged. Other hubs I tested or reviewed - including more expensive ones from more known vendors were constructed of plastic. I use my iPad in multiple places and being able to put it in the protective sleeve it comes with and dropping it in my backpack without worry is a definite plus. The vendor is very responsive and helpful and said the bright light is noted (I bet by everyone), and will be reviewed for future product updates. When the wall charger from *a different* vendor caused the hub to fail, they replaced the hub anyway without question and suggested a better one from a vendor called PowerLot (ASIN#B08HMYV5D4 45 watt USB-C charger). Note that the 20w wall charger that comes with the iPad is not sufficient to charge the iPad through the hub. When buying a wall charger, make sure it is above 45 watts and supports the PD function. The hub supports up to 100 watts for power delivery input.Highly recommend this hub and will definitely purchase from them again.

Intermittent Failure and HDMI Never Worked
I purchased this for use with my MacBook Pro mainly because I needed the traditional USB connections for my mouse and portable hard drive. The fact that this has an integrated ethernet and HDMI made this even more attractive. The HDMI has never worked 100%, it does not work with some monitors at work that I use for presentations... Lately when I have this device connected after at least a work day, my MacBook will lock up and shut down with the dreaded black Mac screen that says my system had to be rebooted due to an error. When I don't use the dock this never happens even if I don't shutdown and reboot my computer for days on end. I have noticed that it does run hot as mentioned by others. My advice is to buy a well-known recognized brand if you need a dock for you laptop. It may cost a little more money but it's well worth the hassle and frequent crashes.
