Exceptional drum sticks
Very nice sticks and have a very nice tactile feel with great rebound. The black coating is a nice touch and aides in grip and comfort. The 5B adds a little more power when making contact with the heads. Highly recommend

ProMark has raised the bar for drumsticks, again.
These sticks are amazing. ProMark really has made a new type of drum stick. It looks exactly the same as almost every other drum stick. However the feeling is different, from the balance to the coating. They are long sticks as well. Sound quality is great for cross sticking on the snare with a nice feel and a wonderful click. The grip coating is amazing - giving just enough hold to keep sticks from becoming missiles while not being gummy, attracting dirt or interfering with playing double stroke or buzz rolls.

Does not slip when you practice. Looks great.
Great quality and sturdy. Ease of use and size is perfect. Don't have drums because I live in an apartment. But got these for practice until I'm ready for a practice drum pad (less noise) I love these. I always wanted to learn drums.

Good quality
I love the grip. Excellent build quality and weight. Worth the price IMO.

Good stick, probably not meant for the abuse I gave them.
I normally play harder rock and play with Vater's Rock drumstick, but bought these to help reduce volume as we were playing a family gig at my cousin's house over Thanksgiving weekend. After getting used to the size difference, the sticks actually felt good and played well, and did help me reduce the volume significantly. I tried hot rods last time, and just wasn't a fan. Anyway, the reason for the 4 stars is that their durability isn't great. But...I attribute most of that to me working the bell on my ride cymbals for a few songs. Next time I'm getting nylon tips. In the picture, while the paint was chipping away, that wasn't really a problem or issue. But if you look at the tip, it started breaking off, which can lead to damaged heads. So if you're not bell happy, these might work out just fine for you. :)

Go-To sticks
My son takes drum lessons with a mainstream music school. Part of their program is to build confidence and get the kids to perform live on a stage at local venues every few months. He still gets a bit nervous and mentions his hands sweat (I secretly worried about him accidentally flinging the sticks). I did some searching and saw mostly grip-tape products, and was concerned that wrapping the sticks with tape may add thickness and weight and throw his playing off a bit. Then I found these and since they had good reviews, I picked him up a pair to try. I wanted to make sure his teacher was ok with these or possibly give a reason why they weren't a good idea, but was pleased when he exclaimed "oh those are what I use when I perform!" That was a good sign. My son's been using these about 6 months for both practice and performing, with good results. To avoid having to adapt to different sticks, he decided to use them as his everyday sticks. They are just slightly tacky when you first hold them but as your hand sweats, they actually grip better. Other than that they play and feel like any standard stick (5A in his case). After a few months the ends of the sticks do show wear from rim hits (he's still learning) but the playing and sound is not affected. The photo is after 6 months and shows wear from hitting the rim, but the grip area is still perfect. The actual tips do not have the coating and are bare wood. He has another live show coming up so I threw a new pair in his Christmas stocking to use for performances that don't look so beat up. He'll continue using his original pair and have a newer pair for shows. A few of his fellow drummers have brightly colored sticks just to be different and flashy. He's not a glamor kid, so the cool but serious black color fits him more while also providing the non-slip functionality. He's happy with these, so I can see them continuing to be his go-to sticks for some time. NOTE: I purchased this item on Amazon for full price and have no affiliation to the seller. I try to write helpful, unbiased and insightful reviews because I also read reviews prior to making my own buying decisions. I notice many reviews lack helpful information, are too brief and don't support their opinions with examples. Writing useful reviews helps pay it forward.

Long-Lasting Sticks
Very durable sticks -- they last about 10x longer than my old Vic Firth 5As, and critically, they never slip from my dry palms and go flying.
