PerfectPrime TL1004 K-Type Sensor Probes Metal HeadProbe for K-Type Probe Thermocouple Sensor & Meter in Temperature Range from 0 to 500 °C

I bought this two years ago to use in my smoker. I can't say for hi-temp applications but in my experience cooking at a maximum of 500° F (260° C) I have had no issues with this probe. Braiding is in-tact, no fraying at all around the probe end. The connector side, however has frayed multiple times and needed to cut back and re-install to the plug which is not a big deal since the plug is servicable. Broke one of my first probe wires from closing in the smoker door and never had another issue since installing the grommets. Came back on here to buy a second one as a back-up. Would definitely recommend.

I've been using this with an inexpensive temperature monitor for my hvac system. I'm pleasantly surprised. It is solidly built and is giving me great accuracy.

I have purchased four of these, and they perform reasonably well for my purposes. Temp measurements between probes vary by less than 1 degree C. One probe was not working on arrival. I found that one of the wires was loose inside the connector. This was easily fixed using a small screwdriver, but it should not have left the factory that way.

I built a coffee roaster three years ago and used an el-cheapo K thermocouple in the roasting chamber. It worked OK for the most part but finally started getting flaky so I decided to get the "PerfectPrime" and found it to be aptly named for my application. Temperatures are right on using the MAX6675 K thermocouple module with my Arduino-based control system. With the nicely enclosed and protective tip, I won't have to worry about it burning out for a long, long time and the shielding on the cable is nice to eliminte EMI/RFI noise. I am very happy I chose this product. It's a great value in my opinion. Any performance issues going forward, I'll update this review.

Well made, and works well. My unit when used with a Testo K-Type adapter read temperatures that were off by about 1-2 degrees Fahrenheit when compared against my FLIR thermal imaging camera.

Seems to be pretty accurate. Using to get temperature of water (with my Fluke 52II) for making bread. Need to get the water in the 100-110F range for the yeast. This works well since the line can be wrapped around the tea kettle's handle and made to hold position suspended in the water for getting the temperature. Tested with another thermometer unit, but accuracy wasn't as good. I trust my Fluke 52II to be more accurate than the other one. The other is used more for when I run the Keg-A-Q to get the cook chamber temperature.

Super inaccurate, with wild swings in temperature readings. Sometimes just touching the wire (even a foot away from the sensor tip) would seem to make fluctuations even worse. I got this thinking that it would be more durable to check an oven repair that i did, but this was terrible. The cheap plastic ones that came with my thermometer was much more accurate and reliable. I've used this thermocouple probe for 4-5 years now and they are so accurate. I ordered more but still have the same one that is working for 4 years. I work on appliances and this is the best K type way to gauge an oven temperature ( gas or electric ), refrigerator temperature as long as it in a liquid from fridge, freezer temp from product, or waving it in a room to get ambient temperature. Le sonde sono arrivate in perfette condizioni. Collegate ad un termometro, funzionano correttamente. Mostrano una differenza di circa un grado nella misura della temperatura, ma dalle prove fatte non posso escludere che il fenomeno sia dovuto al termometro in sè. Dal punto di vista della spedizione, l'averla ricevuta come raccomandata ha creato un po' di problemi nella consegna.

I needed to monitor and troubleshoot the temperature of a kitchen oven. This thermocouple along with a meter bought separately will do the job. The thermocouple end is smaller diameter than I thought from the pictures in the listing. I posted a picture with a dime and dollar for scale. Size doesn't matter to me. The cable has a flat profile, not round, so no problem of the oven door and gasket closing on the cable. There are no specs on the maximum temperature that the cable will handle, will update my review when I try it out in the oven. I have meat thermometers with thinner cables running out to a display that do fine at 375 F in the oven, no problem with those cables and I expect no problem with the cable of this thermocouple at oven temperatures. I will find other uses for this probe and meter. [Update. Have used the sensor in the home oven several times to monitor oven operating temperatures relative to the temperature setting. The sensor and half the braided wire are in the oven for hours at a time up to 375F with no problem. It does the job just fine.]

These are really good quality probers with a stainless steel sheath around the cable. Well made and quite professional.

Postal delivery was announced for the 2nd week of January 2020, but received it already on December 21, 2019 per express mail right before Christmas eve. Using the TL1004 K-Type sensor as temperature control for my 90cm baking oven. After mounting the TL1004 seems to work perfectly.
