desertcart.com: 2 Pack Rechargeable LED Strip Lights with Motion Sensor - LUXJET 2M Cool White LED Closet Light Motion Activated, Under Cabinet Strip Light : Tools & Home Improvement Review: Almost perfect - I was hesitant about this product, very hesitant. Most cheap motion lights such as these don't really work all that great, and the lifespan is always disappointing. I bought these to use as emergency lighting in a power outage rather than purchasing dedicated blackout bulbs due to the cost and ease of charging. I am not disappointed. Not even a bit. My bathroom has 6 vanity lights behind a translucent shade above the mirror, and I placed one of these below the bulbs, shining out of the translucent cover. I mounted the motion sensor on the wall next to the fixture, and set them to only come on in the dark, at the lowest time setting available. Now, when you walk into the room, it's a perfectly useable light all through the bathroom. It does kick on so quickly that you don't have time to turn on the light switch, and sometimes it kicks on when you're leaving and turn the main lights off. That's not a complaint, they last a fair amount of time between charges at the lowest time setting. To counter this, I turn them completely off sometimes knowing that if needed in a power outage, all I have to do is flip the switch and have automatic lighting. Otherwise, I let it turn on and simply charge it every few weeks to make sure it's ready. It detaches easily making charging a breeze. I'd almost consider trying to wire it so that it's always charging and still useable, but there aren't any plugs that close and I'm not sure how that would be for the battery. My only complaint is that the time settings jump from 15 seconds to 130, to 360. 15 is just a bit too low for actual usage as a bathroom light (I sometimes don't move a whole lot while peeing and it kicks off so I have to do a strange little dance so that it detects motion), and 130 seems excessively draining for a light I rarely use as the primary light. 360 is too much, and I don't think the battery could handle much activation at that length. Other than that, buy them. Wholeheartedly recommend, put them in your cupboard, your bathroom, hallway, closet, wherever. They're hideous to see the strips but you can see that when you purchase them, so hide them with a little effort and they're excellent lighting solutions. Review: Not quite perfect, but the best that exists - My house has one of those unfortunate entryways where the front door is lower than the entire first floor by one step. Being an older house, there are no outlets near this unexpected little feature, so I couldn't even put a night light there. I bought two of these rechargeable motion sensing light strips as the width of the drop is five feet and the led strips themselves are only one meter long (a little over 3 feet). Did I mention these are rechargeable? The sensor piece is small and light because it doesn't need to have four AA batteries in it. It recharges via micro USB. Time will tell how well the battery performs. The led strip can be cut with scissors at special places that are marked. I cut one at 32" and one at 28", giving me 60" of length. (There was no option for 30" and 30", sadly.) I adhered the strips just below the lip of the step and stuck the sensors about a foot up the wall. Walking past the sensors in the dark now makes it very clear that there is a potential trip/fall hazard nearby. The sensors are magnetic and come with a little metal disc that you stick to the wall. When they need a recharge, just lift them off the magnetic mount and disconnect the led cable. Stick them on a charger and walk away for a couple hours. The sensors have about 100 degrees of motion detection from side to side. You do have to be approaching them diagonally or directly in front for them to trigger. They won't see you if you approach from the side. The night mode works great. In full dark, both strips will light up. Around dusk, only one will light up because that creates enough light to convince the other sensor it's still daylight. Keep that in mind if you want to place them as I did, with each sensor facing the other's light strip. Be very careful when peeling off the paper that covers the adhesive. It's easy to accidentally tear off the adhesive and then wonder why it doesn't stick. Suggestions for improvement: These light strips are BRIGHT. I would have happily accepted lower LED brightness or fewer LEDs per foot for a longer strip of lights. I know there's only so many LEDs that can be powered by one 5V source. A longer, dimmer strip would make a perfect motion sensitive night light for highlighting trip hazards.

Great but battery dies fast
I put these on my upper and lower cabinets recently- got like 8 packs of them. They were super easy to apply and get started. It’s a really cool effect, especially for someone like me who hates “the big light”, and it looks really great at night. I really like that they’re rechargeable, and since there’s a magnet on the back with adhesive, you just pop that sucker off and then putting it back is a breeze too. The only downside…. The battery life doesn’t last long. I have them set to the lowest amount of time (15 seconds after sensing motion) and after 2 or 3 days, I’m charging them all again. Some die faster than others but I can’t tell why. For a quick easy lighting fix it’s great, but in the future I’ll be sure to save for a fancy remodel where I can have an outlet installed with lights I don’t have to ever charge. Still love them though!

Let there be light
I installed them in a closet that had no light source. The strip mounted easily and illuminated the entire closet wonderfully! I also bought a spare string to utilize in the event of a power outage.

Good for dark areas or places there isn't power.
The string of light are nice for dark areas and the length is nice too. My 3 star review is based on the sensor and power source. I like that they are rechargeable but they do not always sense movement and at times turns on without movement. The power source doesn't last long, but that could be due to it turning on without movement. A bit disappointing.

These lights are excellent! You get 2 sets in the pack - one I've put over the top of a door in a guest room to ensure guests can see where they're going at night without having to put the main light on, and the second set has gone around the bottom of a cabinet in a bathroom. You can get these LED strips in different lengths, (I had the 1.5 metre ones), and they're easy to set up. Peel off the backing on the strip and then press it down to where you want them to go. There's a short cable from the end of the LED strip, which goes into the battery box, (takes 4 x AAA batteries, not included), this unit also has a self adhesive strip on it so that it can be stuck in place. There's 2 cable clips for each set too. There's a small switch on the battery unit to flip between manual and auto, the motion sensor picks up well and the light stays on for around 45 seconds, (at a guess). The manual setting is either on all the time or off. (There's a push button on the front of the unit which controls this). The lights are a bright cold, white and there's no dimming capacity, (that I can see). You can also cut the LED strip to size using marked sections for this, which I did with the one I attached around the base of the cabinet in the bathroom. I'd definitely buy these again, but perhaps would go for a warm white if there was a choice.
