A Marvelous Work and a Wonder (Missionary Reference Library) Paperback – May 8, 2000

About 35 years ago, I was contemplating joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but still was indicisive. Somehow, I stumbled across this book, A Marvelous Work and a Wonder. It was what testified to my heart that I was making the right choice. I could say, it had a major impact on my life. I would give this 10 stars if I could. I've just ordered another copy for a friend who is investigating.

A favorite of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ("The Mormons") . It makes clean many of the beliefs and doctrines of these seemingly strange people. This book is credited with many conversions to Christianity as it explains many otherwise mysterious/curious passages of the Bible.I highly recommend this book if you are curious about Christianity or "The Mormons"

I bought two of these for the missionaries in my ward, they saw it in my bookshelf, and we talked about it. It made me remember my own mission for the church. This are very basic copies but great edition and affordable. - Compré dos de estos para los misioneros de mi barrio, lo vieron en mi estantería y hablamos de ello. Me hizo recordar mi propia misión para la iglesia. Estas son copias muy básicas pero de gran edición y asequibles.

This is a really good book. It was recommended to me by my Bishop's wife. How could I go wrong!!! I haven't read it yet, since I just got it in the mail. But, I'm looking forward to it. It tells information about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the story of the prophet Joseph Smith, the coming of the "Book of Mormon", and so many aspects of the church. And so much more!!! It's just loaded with information that interests me, as a new member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The Bishop's wife said it would answer alot of my questions. And, I bet it will...by glancing through it.

I was recommended this book by a family friend that passed away a few years ago. He told me it would give me a much better insight and knowledge about the church and its beliefs. I am almost done reading it. I have about 20% left. It is awesome to understand just a little more about the church. I have grown up in the church so some of it was refresher but even the refresher stuff gives you other things to think about and different ways to think about it. What a blessing to have this book to help bring more light into my understand of the Book of Mormon and the Bible.A MUST READ for any and all member of the church, any and all investigator, or anyone that just wants to know what our beliefs are and why we believe it.

The book is in good condition, binding, spine strong, pages condition good, etc. No dust cover, no problem, this is book for reading and reference. (And seller most likely mentioned the dust cover anyway) Very satisfied.

Author Richards chose a perfect scriptural title, for the church he details is truly a marvelous work and a wonder, as indeed it was prophesied to be. I was given this book by missionaries when I was baptized into the LDS Church 56 years ago. IMHO it's still the best book available that explains what Mormons believe and why they believe it. It's the book I give to new members of the church. Put this one at the top of your must-read list.P.S. I am an active member of the LDS Church, plan to stay that way, and encourage others to learn about this church.

A Marvelous Work and a Wonder is simply the most thorough, comprehensive and convincing explanation of Latter-day Saint theology ever published. I found it extremely enlightening and edifying as I consumed it soon after my conversion to the LDS Church. It provided me with a firm grounding in the scriptural, doctrinal and historical basis for the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, to accompany the personal testimony of it that I had received already through the Holy Ghost.Read it with an open mind and an open heart, and it will open the scriptures to you in a way you may never have known before!

If you really want to know about the true Gospel of Jesus Christ this is the book for you. I have read it from "cover to cover" and then some. This is my second copy (I've worn may old "paper back" version out)I found it a great help in when reading the Bible. I feel it helps you to get a better understanding of the scriptures.Great when you study the Bible's companion volume The Book of Mormon which is another testimony of Jesus Christ.
