Dialogues of the Carmelites: Vocal Score

Splendid. Moving. A masterpiece of interpretation. I have a hard time to have to find nineteen words ( required by you ) to describe how pleased I was to listen to this jewel. As well as my mate : she is a pianist, a teacher in Lyon and in La Chapelle Musicale Reine Élisabeth of Belgium, and an expert in "Pelleas and Mélisande" and accompanies singers everywhere.

It's the full vocal score, with a pretty accurate English translation, not like the "poetic" stuff that some books use.

I bought this product and had it rushed to my house and I was just cast as Mdme. Lidoine. The music is very well organized and I love the size of the book. I believe this is the only publisher of Dialogues right now... so you don't really have a choice. :)

Again, this was a gift for my son who is a singer. He has gotten much use out of it as he is performing one of the roles

The English font isn't always easy to read. The notes for the English text are crammed in with the original notes paired with the French, and therefore, are difficult to pick out at times.Clear, bold print. Binding threatens come undone eventually, but still impressed with product. Clear table of contents. No unnecessary pages with essays and the like.

I believe Ricordi is the only publisher of Dialogues of the Carmelites, but it is a great piano / vocal score and the printing is great

La partition est une transcription fidèle de oeuvre de Poulenc. Seul bémol : elle est entièrement doublée en anglais, ce qui a nécessité l'ajout de notes supplémentaires sur la portée,ce qui est très gênant pour le chanteur français. mais à ce jour, il n'existe aucune autre édition.
