Allen Elastic Buttstock Shell Holder Black for Rifles, One Size

This shell holder was the perfect fit for my Tikka T3. It holds the 30-06 rounds perfectly. I ended up cutting a small hole in the fabric so that the sling attachment could poke through, which actually keeps the holder in place better. Highly recommend!

I pretty much have one of these for every firearm I own, at this point. They're awesome. Simple, cheap, functional.

Bought this for a Rossi R92 lever action rifle. It holds 9 rounds of .44 rem mag perfectly snug, but the rounds aren't long enough to poke all the way through; they only fit about halfway - assuming you leave enough room to actually grab the end of a round. So, for a .44 cartridge, you really can only grab them from one side, you can't easily push them from the other side. Assume you were maneuvering, I don't think a thick .44 round can slip out easily, even though it's not completely secured all the way through. (I assume this shell holder is meant more for typical rifle cartridges like 223/556, 30-30, 308, etc - which would allow you to remove the round by pushing the bullet-side and enabling more purchase on the primer side) The lever gun I put it on has a pretty small buttstock in terms of height. So, it fits kind of loose, but stays on if you position it closer to the very end of the buttstock, where it's thickest. I have not fired with it yet, but I suspect that it might easily shift around the smooth buttstock. It obviously wouldn't fall off during fire, cuz your shoulder will block it from slipping off. I DO think, if you were maneuvering, that it could easily fall off if it got caught on something. That being said, it fits snuggly and tight on your typical bolt-actions, like a Savage Axis. In my limited experience with lever guns, their buttstocks are pretty short in height, so just beware - this shell holder "fits" a lever gun - but it's about as snug as putting a wet t-shirt on. All-in-all, for the price, this is a great solution for holding 9 rounds.

Fits ok. Inside is very rough. My stock is well worn but if you have a pristine stock I think over time it will be marred by this item.

Item was hard to install

Great for single shot rifles. Use the rear sling stud to anchor in place, or it slides forward.

This product is the epitomy of functional utility as an adjunct for rifle and ammo ready availability in the field. I highly recommend it for many hunting rifles, and it’s cost is very slight!

Have to go from barrel end to fit. No big deal just unclip your sling and slide it down. I had to cut a hole for my sling swivel then it was everything I wanted

Holds .308 shells fine, but the sleeves are a bit long for .223

Works exactly as it should. Great little buy.
