A lot better than the Still Spirits Pink Gin, but not there yet. I diluted one of the pouches into a beaker with 40% neutral spirit (80 proof) and metered the dilution into 300mL 40% neutral spirit on a stir plate until the recommended concentration was reached. The resulting mixture had a weak gin character . The experiment was repeated using 1.5 and 2.0 times the recommended concentration. A taste test was conducted of the various concentrations vs. two bottles of commercial gin, The Botanist 22 and Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin. After the first round of taste tests, only the 2x concentration Still Spirits gin remained, but still at last place by a large margin. The commercial gins where vastly more aromatic, much heartier spice profile, and heavier mouthfeel. Granted, my commercial gin candidates were more "top-shelf" than, for example, Beefeater, but the Still Spirits fell so far behind it really didn't matter. I ended up mixing 50/50 of the remaining Still Spirits with some Botanist 22 to make it more drinkable. The Still Spirits Gin concentrate might be useful during the apocalypse. Once the world's gin supply runs out, they guy who can make his own will persevere.

Firstly, all of the others I've tried come in little bottles so you can use as much or little as you like, but this one is in a pouch so you are forced to mix the entire packet at once. No amount of water and/or mix made it taste any better. Simply awful. There are plenty on the market that actually taste like gin.
