Normally when I drink coffee, I get an upset stomach that usually kills my appetite for a while; especially if I drink coffee on an empty stomach. This Puroast coffee, however, does not give me any problems whatsoever. The coffee itself is nothing spectacular, but it is pretty much the main option you have if you are looking for a low acid coffee or if you are still looking to get your caffeine fix in coffee form. The vanilla flavor is not really apparent but the taste can be pretty bold if you put enough coffee ground in the filter. This coffee has worked so well that I do not even go out to get coffee and it is the only brand that I would buy from now on.

WE LOVE THE COFFEE, BUT WHEN I WENT TO DIP INTO THE PACKAGE AS PER USUAL, THERE WERE "BEANS" INSTEAD OF GROUND COFFEE. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. PLEASE, PLEASE PUT THE WORDS GROUND AT THE TOP LIKE YOU USE TO . THE RED PACKAGING IS ALL SIMILAR??? WORDS ARE IMPORTANT. THE PRICE IS HIGH ENOUGH AND NOW I HAVE TO GIFT THIS BEAUTIFUL PACKAGE WITH THE GROUND COFFEE BEANS TO SOMEONE WITH A COFFEE GRINDER. THAT'S ALL, THIS SENIOR VERY DISAPPOINTED. I WISH THEY HAD LOOK AT MY ORDERING PREVIOUSLY. ALWAYS GROUND PUROAST VANILLA NO BEANS WANTED?

I truly enjoy this coffee’s flavor and aroma and it is gentle on my stomach. This batch of coffee, though was ground so fine that it makes a mess in my coffee maker every time and then i have to clean it all up. I’ve been purchasing Puroast for 4 years or so and haven’t had this issue before. Very disappointing.

This is a decent coffee for low acid. It is the only one I know of that actually gives you an estimated percentage of reduced acid compared to regular coffee. This a good value for 2.5 pounds of coffee. The best value is Folgers smooth but you assume it is low acid. Also, on Amazon is Lucy Joes low acid coffee which is slightly better tasting then Folgers or Puroast but again no idea of the degree of acid reduction. There is no standard for this so the consumer has to try them to see what helps with their acid problem. The Puroast has a very slight hint of vanilla but if you want an obvious vanilla taste I suggest a vanilla flavored creamer. Hats off to Puroast for at least trying to offer a percentage reduced acid coffee.

I ordered the Mocha Java for the first time. The 2.5 pound coffee was shipped in an Amazon envelope which as you can guess, the coffee bag was pretty flat when I received it. Packaging could be better. As for the Mocha Java flavor, I usually get the vanilla flavor and noticed the visual difference first in the coffee grounds. The Mocha Java is a light brown very fine ground coffee compared to the vanilla flavored. As for the taste, the mocha Java was quite bitter. I usually drink my coffee plain but I needed to add creamer due to the bitterness. So if you drink your coffee black, you may not like the bitter taste. My hubby normally adds a ton of creamer to his coffee, so he loved this Mocha Java.

My wife and I both love this coffee. Very smooth tasting with no bite or after taste, and we both drink it daily. I've starting taking it to work for the guys and everyone is impressed. Most of my coworkers prefer a strong coffee but I enjoy mine more mild. Of course, you can brew to preference--just add another tablespoon if you want it stronger. My local grocery carries only the vanilla, my favorite, but it would be nice to get the other flavors--Amazon is too expensive. The barcode does NOT scan at my local store so I always have to take it to customer service to check-out. Not sure what the problem is here.
