The knife is well made. It’s a little stiff to open but hopefully that will break in. The lock out on it is excellent. This knife is quite light and has a elegant look to it. It feels small in the hand but performed well on smaller tasks.

In my small knife collection are some great knives, including three other ZT products. I've generally found all of the ZT products to be very high quality and, although expensive, to be worth the price. This knife is no exception.Small enough to be a comfortable everyday carry knife, the 0990 is about the perfect size for me. The 3.25" blade is long enough for most of what I need, and it just feels about perfect in weight and balance in the hand. It's not particularly heavy and it's not a burden to carry clipped to a pocket. The overall fit and finish on mine was perfect out of the box, and I'm sure it will last forever with a little care.To me, the standout feature of this knife is the blade. Normally, just about every brand-new knife I buy needs a bit of TLC to get to optimum sharpness - sometimes it's just a little time with a leather strop, but sometimes it takes more. This ZT 0990 was amazing in this regard - right out of the box, it's the sharpest blade I've ever experienced. In fact, after using it, I'm thinking to revisit my other ZT knives to see if I can get them as sharp as this blade is. Being CPM-20CV, it's a very hard steel and seems to have good edge retention...after using it daily for a few weeks, I've managed to get it a bit dirty, but it's still just as sharp as when I first used it.The only thing I'm not thrilled about is the overall opening/closing action. Although ZT uses a good quality ball-bearing hinge, it's not particularly easy to flip this knife open one-handed. I'm hoping that with use, it loosens up a bit, but new, it's stiffer than I like. I've tried lubricating the hinge with a high-quality firearm lube...that helped a bit, but it still takes a strong flick of the wrist to get the blade open and locked. I'm also not the biggest fan of liner locks...the ZT 0990 is as good as most others I've seen, but again, it makes it tough to close the blade single-handed. Still, in my opinion, this is a small annoyance for the overall quality of what this knife delivers.Although it's expensive, I really believe that the ZT 0990 is worth every penny...it's a product that's expensive, but exceeded most of my expectations. Definitely worth a look!

I love ZT and this is an okay knife, but I would never have bought it if it wasn't a Zero Tolerance. Now that I have it, I have to look closely so that I can see their name on it. It's a nice show piece for them, I guess, but I don't have enough confidence in its function to carry it. Into the collection it goes. If you want it for that reason, buy it. If you don't, then I'd pass.

I have serious doubts about the authenticity of this knife. The box is too big, instructions are for a different knife, and more importantly - the knife looks and feels a bit cheap.Bottom line - it definitely isn't worth over $200 and is going back.

I carry this over all my other knives. I love spear point style so much.Flip your wrist while you open it, and it will never get stuck.
