Good little pc, but its picky about memory
Unit worked. Does not support all ddr4 2400 pc4-19200. I bought Patriot dimms which didn't work, so returned them and bought Crucial dimms which did work.Installing Linux was a bit of a pain at first since this unit ONLY supports efi booting; there is no legacy boot mode.Canonical provides a customized 16.04 install for this machine, but it doesn't come with header files for core packages, so I could not compile anything that needed opengl.Ubuntu 18.04 mostly runs great out of the box, as long as you stick to the default installed graphics drivers, and don't try to install the updated and optimized graphics ppa.Using it as a retropie/steambox. Performs way better than a raspberry pi.

bait and switch
when i placed my order, was under the impression that I would get the one pictured. the one In the picture of the product paged showed a audio jack plug. The one I got didn't have that feature. Going to have to buy a adapter to get any type of audio Other then that it works. Would never buy from them again, I would consider it false advertising.update: contacted the seller about the issue, they gave me a bluetooth speaker. which was pretty nice little speaker.

Excellent Linux Based Media PC Core
Plug this into 2 of your HDTV's (via HDMI) and with a Logitech K400 Plus Wireless Touch TV Keyboard with Easy Media Control and Built-in Touchpad , you have a full force PC plus a media center, one on each screen w/2 HDMI outputs. I plugged in a Crucial 4GB Single DDR4 2400 MT/S (PC4-19200) SR x8 SODIMM 260-Pin Memory and a SanDisk SSD PLUS 120GB Solid State Drive -120G , installed Peppermint 9 (64-bit minimum install) and then Chrome browser (w/ uBlock Origin) and xPlayer, and this unit simply cranks; it's a small powerhouse with any Linux Distro. UPDATE 01/21: Added another 4G RAM stick last year since they're only $17; then, just fresh installed Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon OS. This is my BR Media Player; got a NUC 10 Core I7 for my Office-LR workhorse, also running Mint-20-C. All units cranking good, no probs! Good to create a super smart tv
I like using this with my television because it makes it into a computer. After adding SSD and Ram, connect the HDMI to my tv, and It brings the television past the "smart tv" stage and literally gives you the ability to do anything you would need to do on any computer (Netflix, Zoom, Google Earth, Browse the Web, Play games). It isn't the most powerful machine, but it isn't that bad either. I think it will last me for a good 5 years at least.

Not universal conmpatable
Xenserver installed easily, wanted to switch to VMware ESXi and was dissapointed I have to create a custom ISO for this mode NUC to recognize network adapter..Still glad I opted to go with than a chunky 1RU server.
