Works amazingly quick!
I live in Boise, where pretty much everywhere, our property has the hard clay soil.We bought a house on an acre that was pretty much empty of plants or trees, so we have a lot of planting to do but it’s been a challenge to keep anything alive with this clay soil. I’ve lost so many plants because of the plants not being able to root quicker and causing them to go into shock. Several areas on my property the water would just pool, killing everything that attempted to grow there. A big issue was pooling where we were trying to grow grass. I recently had to reseed an area of our grass that kept dying because of the pooling water but the seeds couldn’t germinate because of the poking water, which was frustrating. I discovered this product and shortly thereafter, sprinkling the product on the pooling areas, I noticed a few days later (I just forgot to check on it, so I’m unsure how quickly it actually started working) but the ground wasn’t pooling!! Woohoo!! This product is amazing!! My grass seed will finally have a chance to germinate!!! I’m so excited.I’m going to use this product now when planting new plants, to help give them a fighting chance of taking root. I also sprinkled the product around my current new trees and plants I’ve already recently planted to help break up the current clay soil to help them to help them grow too. I’m super excited and am obsessed with this product!!!

I got my soil tested and the report recommended gypsum. I have a small area to amend, about 100 square feet, so this bag should last a while. It was a quick ship.

Not sure what makes this so special.
I used this gypsum on one area of my with lawn just to see the difference between it and the much cheaper gypsum that I use. I'm no soil expert, but I didn't see any difference.

Help With Salty Soil
We used the gypsum to solve a salty soil problem around a bush caused by the contractor's careless pouring of water softener salts into the bed. With Earth Sciences email on the package, I was able to get instructions from them to apply the gypsum in salty area.
