My childhood nostalgia!
These shrimp chips were my childhood favorite! The flavor was perfect, it wasn’t salty at all, it’s perfect. Just make sure the oil is really hot. I mean, HOT! That’s how you watch and see the chips open up, it was fun to see it bloom like flowers. I placed my chips in a very hot cooking oil and they turned out to be humongous sizes. I enjoyed the flavor very much.

Addictive!
We love these crackers! So quick and easy to make. Apart from the colour, they taste just like the ones we used to get at home... lovely to be able to get them, now, whenever we want. One box makes up several batches for us, so they are worth the money. We also appreciate "no msg".

Pretty good, color or not, and enjoyable to cook.
A number of my family, myself included, likes prawn chips and other seafood items. We usually just got the "stick" variety in little bags at the local oriental market, but one day I saw they had these prawn chips on the shelves. They currently don't have them now, so I went to order these here. You can get them with or without color, doesn't really impact the flavor as far as I know. Pretty shrimpy, fishy taste, and surprisingly even better when still warm and right from the pan. Even when cooled off, you can just put them in a resealable bag for later. Not sure about shelf life after cooking, however.Only downside is the obvious need to fry these things. Aside from the not-so-healthy aspect, you have to be careful with using bigger quantities of oil. I've burned myself doing a multitude of different things so I'm used to getting burnt like that, but for those not careful there's an obvious risk of getting hurt, either from spills or from the oil popping out of the pan (or pot). Just be careful is all.Drain the chips over something such as paper towels, give them a minute to cool down to a more warmer temperature, and you're good to go.

Light crisp snack easy to cook
I have been buying these crackers for many years. They look like little plastic discs. Simple to cook. Is heat vegetable oil in a Pan, Add a few discs at a time because they will grow 2 about 3-4 times the size of the pre-cooked disks. Cooking time is a matter of seconds so work fast. I drain Cooked prawn crackers in a calendar to cool for a bit. Then I place them in a very large bowl so that I can toss chips lightly with fresh ground sea salt. Delicious light crunchy snacks family loves them. Any extras I cover tightly with a lid on the bowl and they last for a couple more days. These chips are fun, A hit at parties when people understand what they are, Good flavor, extra crunch and Is fun colors of the chips.

Not a trace of shrimp flavor.
Does not taste shrimp at all. Such a waste .. straight to the trash can.

Puffed and Salty
These are good but they are very salty. I cannot taste the shrimp flavor. It is only the crunch and salt. Would I order again? No, I would not.

Light and crispy prawn crackers!
These prawn crackers are pretty close to the ones I used to eat back in Indonesia! As usual, I fried them in a lot of hot oil and collected them with a metal sieve/strainer after they've expanded a good amount. The texture was really light and crispy, and the taste was also good. One note to keep in mind: make sure the crackers don't touch the bottom of the wok/pan/pot for too long, especially after expanding, otherwise it'll burn. Luckily for me I like burnt food sometimes.Highly recommend.

Tasty and inexpensive, and NO MSG!!
My mother was the manager of a Chinese restaurant in Cleveland, so I grew up on Chinese food and snacks, even though my family is white. I love Shrimp Chips. They were my most favorite snack as a kid. Sadly, when we moved away from Cleveland, you can't find them ANYWHERE! And Chinese restaurants have no idea what they even are. So I feel fortunate that I can find a seller online to buy my own, and make them at home. The package arrived quickly, but was banged up a little. However, the contents were undamaged. The flavor of this particular brand is very mild. I've had some that were REALLY fishy. These are only just a little shrimpy, and they're great with a little light dusting of salt and pepper. Or you could eat them plain!I would definitely buy these again.

These are hard to find and are just like I remember them. They are so fun to drop into the oil and watch them grow.

Easy to make and most Delicious snack ever!
I tasted these 15 years ago and they were the most delicious things that ever touched my mouth but I didn’t know what they were at the time. My life since then has been consumed with rediscovering what these were so I could have them again. Well, my dreams came true, I finally found out what they were and found them here on Amazon. My life is now complete.
