Great way to introduce dressmaking

This was a Christmas present so I couldn't review before now, but it's amazing. Just like an adults one. My almost 7year old loves it...she can thread it herself and prefers to use the foot pedal. The pattern that comes with it was a great starter though I had to help with the cutting out. The machine itself is very sturdy and well made, and with the removable finger protector I've no worries just letting her off with it. Overall a great present and well worth it.

What a fantastic little sewing machine for young ones.Took me a while to figure out removing the safety guard, if you have a problem removing the clear plastic, loosen the screw on the clip behind the clear plastic and needle and adjust its position.On the machine I purchased it was slightly out of line.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 10 year old daughter.Unfortunately it worked once, then I've had problems with everything, stalling, bobbin not threading, couldn't get the tension right, knots.The only selling point was the needle protector but ithe actually machine just doesn't work.It was a Christmas gift so obviously expectations were high and it has caused a lot of stress. I purchased it early so I can't even send it back.I've ordered a Brother machine now, hopefully this will be better!Waste of money.

My girl loved this, so easy to use and safe. The stich actually holds the material together so it's not just a clunky toy it actually works. I got her to stich a hole in the side of her dress and she seemed pleased that she had mended it. I must admit I did wait a while before buying this I did a lot if looking around and most of the ones on the market were just battery operated only, also this one's a lot more robust then the ones I'd seen in the toy shops.

I love how this little machine looks - perfect for my 6-year-old granddaughter. I chose it because it has a plastic guard around the sewing area, it has the option to run from a button or a foot pedal, it is numbered for easy threading and it comes with lovely little accessories, including a pattern and material to make a little clutch bag. These are the reasons I have given 3 stars. Why I have only given 3 is because sewing with it isn't as smooth as I'd expect. I'm constantly needing to re-thread and unravel and finding the right tension for a piece of material is a pretty big job in itself. Instead of encouraging my granddaughter's interest in sewing, the constant stopping and starting and re-threading and undoing tangles can get quite tedious for a 6-year-old; and for a granny too, come to that! Today, we have sewn a little gift pouch and it has taken a lot longer than anyone would expect. But with patience (mainly mine) we got there. I'd considered buying a normal mini machine for her to start on but it was the safety guard on this model that was the attraction, that and that it is designed for children from age 6. We'll persevere; maybe we just don't have the knack with it yet but I can't see this little machine encouraging sewing.

Lovely children’s sewing machine for my granddaughters birthday. Very good product

Needed a small no frills dewing machine to fix some epaulettes I needed for work. Worked perfectly and easy to use for a beginner like me. Quite fiddly to get to use the first time though
