HEY VERN!!! This is a cool DVD!!
If your not a Ernest Fan, you should be! Jim Varney was the South's Robin Williams...May both rest in peace. This is a great DVD for Ernest Fans. It includes; Two hours of Jim Varney's Ernest in a lot of his original commercials as well as hilarious bloopers and "behind the scenes" shots, Ernest in the army, Ernest goes to Africa, Hey Vern! It's my family album( A hilarious TV special which truly showcases the talents of Jim Varney), and another special "hosted" by Varney's Astor Clement character with many of Varney's other characters including Ernest, Auntie Nelda, Bunny Worrell, "baby ernest", and more! A great buy for the whole family and any Ernest fan! Knowhutimean?

The best of Ernest for sure
I have loved Ernest P. Worrell since he emerged as more than a TV pitchman in the mid-80s in Nashville. This collection provides me with memorable TV specials and some of the really great B-movies they produced. I wish it included Ernest Goes to Prison and Ernest Saves Christmas, my two favorite Ernest movies.

Fun For Ernest fans
Always been a fan of Ernest since I was a kid, my favorite of his films will always be "Scared Stupid." This DVD holds a collection of films/shorts that were produced before and after his big budget producers. And as a supporter of keeping up your dreams despite losing the budget, I was happy to buy this.So far I've watched Ernest's Family Album and Ernest Goes to Africa in this collection. The video quality shows that it was lower budget, but it is more endearing than intrusive. Ultimately it has a very nostalgic feel for me. The sound was good and the DVD played well, no issues at all.Personal Opinions on the films:- Family Album is very classic Ernest and lots of goofy fun, innocently made. And Jim Varney does so many imitations and voices it's a wonder he didn't do more voice acting. I definitely recommend it.- As for Goes to Africa, well, it's alright. I was disappointed that it didn't have the pull-at-your-heartstrings power of its predecessors, and I had to cringe at some of the jokes, but a few things were pretty funny. In all it will make the kids laugh.

This DVD copy of the album and a couple of other Earnest movies is great.
The Worrel Family album is simply halarius. I recorded it on a VCR 35 years ago, but that is no longer viewable. This DVD copy of the album and a couple of other Earnest movies is great.

Case was broken and Movie quality sucks.
The DVD arrived with the case broken and the disc not attached so it was moving around inside with the broken pieces of plastic. It was not scratched so we played it. The quality of the both of the movies that we tried is just bad. Not sure how to describe it exactly, when there is movement it is like the picture has to catch up with the movement, gets blurry. It's pretty hard on the eyes. Would not recommend to anyone.**Update**Received an email from the seller telling me that if I had any questions or concerns to reply to the the email because "Our goal is for you to be completely satisfied", and asking me to give them a review on Amazon. I replied back with the issues I had. Received a reply that it was fulfilled by Amazon and to take up my concerns with them. I can see where the packaging issue would be with Amazon, but the quality of the video, in my opinion, is clearly the seller's responsibility.
