Review Date 02-March-2023 Purchased: 2 each 21-December-2022 Purchased: 2 each 17-January-2023 I have purchased four of these rechargeable utility lights and I decided to give them a “road test” before submitting my review, as I have had poor performance from another brand of battery powered utility light in the recent past. We are using these lights as under counter lighting in our lower kitchen cabinets (including under sink). We also installed them in a large closet which we are using as a food storage pantry. The areas where these lights are used are frequently accessed. IMPRESSIONS: PRO: After roughly three months of use, we are extremely pleased with: *The brightness of these lights *The performance of the rechargeable batteries. *The ease & speed re: battery charging process. The lighting units come with a magnetic strip with adhesive on one side to install upon the surface you intend for the lights to be used. The magnetic side is used to hold the lights in place until recharging is required. At this point you remove the lights from the magnetic strip and attach them to a USB charger. USB Chargers are not included, as I recall. USB Charging cables are included. The initial charge time for these lights was between 1 & 2 hours. I have not had to recharge them in the time they have been in use. I consider this to be fantastic performance! The most important aspect of these lights for us is the brightness they provide. I do not recall the number of linens cited by the manufacturer, but we have been extremely pleased! CON: The only issue I have discovered with these units is that the adhesive used on the metal strips for attachment to the cabinet or drywall surface is not great. I can understand the rationale used in the decision to apply a lower strength adhesive as if someone wanted to remove these lights at a later date, pulling the finish off of the cabinets, or pulling the paint and drywall paper off the wall would be a painful experience 😖. FINAL ANALYSIS: We wholeheartedly recommend these rechargeable lights. They are a great value.

I spent a couple hours researching for the best possible unit before deciding to purchase a pair of the Goodland 160 led motion sensor lights. I installed them a week ago. Here are my thoughts. - Customer Service: Before installation I sent the manufacturer’s customer service a question (via the Amazon web page link to the manufacturer). In less than 24 hours I received a thorough, and thoughtful answer - well done! (Them claim excellent customer service and I believe it.) Size: The units are long (15.4”) and very thin, less than 1/2” thick (0.43”). That’s excellent. The length spreads the light out, and thin means they don’t get in the way of what is on the shelf beneath. - Light intensity I installed the two units, one each beneath the two rotating shelves of the turntable under the kitchen counter. When they activate, the amount of light in the enclosed space is more than enough. I tested them also under two 20” x 32” pantry shelves (but did not install). Also more than enough light. One unit per shelf is the right amount if the shelves are congested with stuff. Note: even though these units throw more light (lumens) than most every other battery powered unit, the light intensity of one unit is only marginal so as to light up multiple shelves at the same time, or to light up a moderate sized closet space. - Motion sensitivity! Works great under the turntable shelves. Activates when it should when there is minor movement of anything. Same held true when tested (but not installed) under the pantry shelves). As you approach or reach under the shelf, the light turns on. Don’t install way in the back of a shelf unless you want to hinder/reduce the motion sensitivity. Installation time and effort - Super easy. The installation time was approximately 1 minute each. The time spent with a tape measure to ensure they were best positioned was also about 1 minute each. Peel the liner off the metal strip. Position metal strip and press it to the surface. - done. The light attaches very easily, magnetically, without fuss. Light removes very easily without fuss for recharging. Recharging: - 3600 mah battery power….. this is extremely important feature compared to most/all other competitors from what I could see in my research. Means recharging less frequently, and that the units can support a heavier duty lighting intensity load on the battery. The enclosed USB cable is short, but recharging is easy and the charging status indicator is easy to see. (No charger is included, but any type of usb charger works fine). Durability: - Aluminum case is strong, stiff, rugged. Clear polycarbonate plastic covers the LED’s. Polycarbonate is a rugged plastic. Overall, I’m happy with the ruggedness. - Other ‘nice to have’ features: The light intensity and color tone function is easy to use. By holding down a button the light intensity will go up and down from min to max. Reducing the intensity increases the time between rechargings. I plan to buy more of these.

I have purchased other LED lights before but bought these ones hoping they would be brighter. They are not brighter than lights that have lower lumens. The button system on the side is a bit confusing so you have to look up the instructions whenever you want to change the settings. The magnet is weak and the metal strip that comes with the light is flimsy and does not adhere to surfaces well. Despite the many flaws, I gave it three stars because it wasn't very expensive, it emits light, the motion detection works, and the battery life is good. Update: The seller reached out and the customer service was exceptional. I decided to update to four stars.

The areas under my kitchen cabinets are so dark! These lights are the perfect solution. Easy to install, LED rechargeable so you don't have cords everywhere, and the best part...there are 3 different light "types" and 3 different brightnesses. I have warm lights in my kitchen and other lights like this that I've tried are bright white which looks so bad with the warm lighting in the kitchen. Not only can I set this to a warm light, but it also has cold white & natural white settings as well. Other brands say their light is warm, but if the lumens are aver 3000k, it will be an off color from typical warm LED light bulbs. The great part is they tell you the lumens for each color so you know what you are getting! (cold white = 6500K, Natural = 5500K, Warm = 2700K). It does warn on the website that if you put the lights too close to each other there is a possibility that the motion sensor will not work for both. I put them under L-shaped cabinets and they work great. No issue with the motion sensor function. Oh, and you can turn the motion sensor function off as well if you need to. Overall one of the best purchases I've made for my home in a while!!

These have a good range of adjustable brightness, much brighter and more versatile than two other brands others I tried for a similar cost. They each have a long, full length strip of sticky magnet to adhere to whatever surface you want, unlike others that are only supplied with small squares. There are 3 hues to choose; warm, medium and cool. You can choose always on, always off, or darkness motion sensor. The only feature they don’t have is daytime motion sensor, which isn’t needed anyway because whenever it gets slightly dim they switch on as soon as they sense motion. I do love the brightness adjustment the most, but my second favorite feature is how long they stay on. Others flicked off after 15 or so seconds which was annoying when I was using them in areas where I perform quick tasks. These stay on for around 30 seconds which seems to be the perfect amount of time. I’m a little obsessed and am considering sticking them everywhere… under the stair treads in my cellar, inside my car trunk, above the gloomy shower in the other bathroom… there’s no limit on where they can go.

This isn't a bad set of lights but I feel like for the money the light output could be a bit higher. Light selection is 2 strips of warm (inner) OR 2 strips of cold blue (outer) OR all strips (mixing warm and cold at once) but the output seems actually weaker when all 4 are active. Final setting is "off", of course. The 2 buttons on the side are infuriating. One is to change the above mentioned light settings, the other one is to set the type of motion detection you want. Nothing is labelled so you never know which setting you're on until you wave your hand in front of the overly large sensor like a mad man. Should be a labelled switch to make things clearer. Charging is done via (ugh) micro USB, which in 2022 feels antiquated and takes too long. Should be USB-C to charge these up faster. Considering how quickly the batteries drain with even very moderate use, this should be mandatory. Won't buy again but not going to return them either.

I installed a number of these light strips in areas that either don't have wired connections, or can simply be light more cheaply with these rechargeable lights than with wired lights (scrambling to mitigate recent price gouging by the local power company). I like the ability to select color temperature and brightness. These lights recharge easily from solar power banks, so that they're "off-grid." The metal strip that comes with each light has a robust sticky material on the back, so that they can be installed almost anywhere that there is a clean, smooth surface to stick to. The magnets within the light strip do the rest. I did have a problem with one metal strip releasing, but it was on a surface that wasn't perfectly smooth. The other place I would not try to install one of these is anywhere that there might be significant heat and moisture, like over a stove. I have purchased these twice already and will likely purchase more when I'm ready to replace more of the wired lights in my home.

SELLER EMAIL NOT Valid/message was bounced. It for almost 2 years and now won’t charge, I tried changing internal battery but to no avail. I sent seller email asking if they can replace since internal battery not repalceable and message was bounced.

These lights are so practical for under kitchen cabinets. I had bought some that required 8 AAA batteries each and they didn't last more than 5 days. I haven't installed them yet but even if I need to recharge weekly I am saving money. They charged within 2 hours out of the box. Will update when I install them. By the way, instructions for various settings are on each unit and are easy to understand.

The adhesive on the metal mounting strip is VERY strong and the strip itself is quite thin. Which means that if you want to move it later, forget about it! I ended up using a thin prybar to remove the metal strip, which bent it beyond use. Used two small mending plates in the new location. So all's well that ends well. The light itself is perfectly fine. Bright enough to light up my small closet and the motion sensor and subsequent shut-off timer work as expected. I didn't try the "night mode".

Wanted for an under-cabinet light over the sink, zero complaints. The 2nd one is probably going into my camping tote, because it's THAT bright. Great for a tent or pop-up. Magnetic backing strip means you can use it on the car or any type of work where you can slap a magnetic light on.
