These really help keep my GI in order if I take them every night. I tried cutting back then switched to a different/ cheaper item that within a few days had GI backed up. They are easy to swallow. They often offer a coupon/ discount so keep in your cart and watch for that

I've been really happy with Nature's Way Probiotic Pearls Complete! The convenient size makes it easy to swallow and it promotes digestive balance like no other. Plus, it's perfect for promoting regularity. The only thing I'd change is adding more probiotic strains, but overall I'm very satisfied and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great probiotic supplement.

Pearls IC contains a large number of varieties of lacto- and bifido-bacteria. Due to poor diets, not enough fiber, yeast or fungal infections, etc. many people have what amounts to Irritable Bowel Syndrome, creating gas, distended abdomen, listlessness/lack of energy, abdominal pain, constipation or diarrhea and other complaints. Frequently those with a lack of proper intestinal flora suffer from bad skin and breakouts (toxins try to exit the body via the skin instead of the bowels). I had many skin breakouts that took ages to heal, but after being on the Pearls for a couple of weeks, these long overdue red sores have healed, and new scrapes and pimples tend to heal quickly. I've tried many different probiotic formulas over 3 decades. Pearls IC and Pearls YB are absolutely the best I've ever found. The hard outer coating means the friendly bacteria are not destroyed by stomach acids and enzymes. The pearl is able to pass through the stomach undamaged and finally dissolves in the intestines where the bacteria can go to work at full potency. I noticed a positive change on the second day after starting to take them. Abdominal pain and stress are markedly reduced. I became more regular, with a bowel movement twice a day or more. Other symptoms continue to improve. If this keeps up, I expect to have a normally functioning gut in the space of a few more months. Many kudos to Enzymatic Therapy for developing this effective delivery system that is head and shoulders above anything else I've ever tried. Note: For anyone diagnosed with Candida, bacterial or fungal infections, I highly recommend the Pearls YB formula which also contains Lactobacillus plantarum (not included in the IC formulation). Plantarum has antimicrobial characteristics that appear to create unfavorable environments for bad bacteria and fungus. I highly recommend Enzymatic Therapy's Pearls products. Note #2: If you notice an increase of gas, bloating or abdominal discomfort when first taking these or other probiotics, don't be fooled into thinking this is necessarily a bad reaction. Your gut may harbor a huge amount of unfriendly bacteria and fungus, and as these are being attacked and destroyed, there may temporarily be more toxins being created as the bad guys die off. Drink plenty of fluids and keep taking the probiotics. After a few days, the good bacteria will get the upper hand and the symptoms should start decreasing. This is known as a healing crisis. Consult with a reputable doctor who is knowledgeable and effective in nutritional healing with any questions, and if any symptoms do not clear up. UDATE: 27 AUGUST 2013: It's important to note that your body's needs can change over time. My wife and I use muscle testing (kinesiology) to test if our bodies react well to the different foods and supplements we take. I used to test very strongly for the Pearls IC and YB formulas, but now I don't. I'm currently taking Jarrow's Jarrow-dophilus capsules and they're simply amazing. They contain a broad spectrum of probiotics that are stable at room temperature (no refrigeration necessary) and are enteric coated so that they dissolve in the intestines and survive the stomach acids. The probiotics in this formula are: L. rhamnosis Peiococcus acidilactici B. longum B. breve L. helveticus (L. acidophilus) L. casei L. plantarum Lactococcus lactis I've noticed a stabilizing and regularizing of my bowel movements after about a week and a half on this product. There is a noticeable change of mood and optimism and a generalized feeling of health and vigor.

This is a great probiotic. In the past, I've had a horrible diet that led to health issues, including constipation and irregularity. I now use a probiotic along with a sensible (high fiber, high protein, low carb) diet and I can tell the exact time to the minute, based on when I have to do a #2. Having learned from Dr. Oz, forgive the TMI, but it is for your benefit - once I added the Pearls IC to my dinner vitamin regimen, I now have incredibly regular, perfectly "S" shaped, soft, solid #2s that could model for a Dr. Oz poop show. I used to purchase this brand from Whole Foods (at about $25-30 for 30 pills) and then switched to another probiotic which was cheaper. I got what I paid for; not all probiotics have the same effect - it didn't work. So I switched back to the Pearls IC, purchasing it from Amazon in the 90-pack, which is cheaper than its price in store. My butt is glad I did. I don't think all probiotics will work for everyone - some people may need 1 strain of bacteria that others don't need, we have different gastrointestinal issues and diets etc. My sister tried this for her constipation (which she thinks is due to perimenopause and hormone changes) and it didn't work for her. If you haven't tried it and you are looking for a probiotic, I would recommend this one to give a try (start with the 30 pack in case it doesn't work.)

Before taking Pearls IC I was having intense stomach pain 3-4 x per week for no apparent reason. No nausea, no diarrhea or constipation...just pain. My sister was already a fan of Pearls IC and suggested I try them. What a difference! I now only experience very mild pain occasionally (once or twice a month if that) and as an added bonus, my immune system is firing on all cylinders. I don't want to jinx anything, but I haven't had a cold since I began taking the Pearls over a year ago. They are small, easy to take and they don't have to be refrigerated. Also, buying box of 90 from Amazon is the best price by far, and they have always arrived within a few days. I would actually give 4 3/4 stars if that were possible. I didn't give 5 stars only because I still get the very rare instance of discomfort, but honestly it's such an improvement I feel like that is quibbling a bit. I don't know why anyone wouldn't at least try them!

I have been taking this product for 7 years. I'm a 69 year old woman. I "go" everyday. Yes, everyday. I take care of an acre of land and my home all by myself. This product absolutely keeps me healthy. I am 100% happy.

I have IBS-C with very occasional IBS-D. I started taking the regular pearls and I thought they were ok. When I switched to these, I noticed a lot of benefits. I am not as constipated, bloated, or gassy and I no longer have abdominal pain. I don't have to take miralax everyday like I had to before. I'm also able to handle dairy and lactose much better, though I don't consume milk or dairy in large quantities. For the last year, I've struggled with extreme and constant nausea. It was horrible and I was taking tons of nausea medications for it. The doctors all told me it was heartburn and I tried every antacid with little to no relief. After taking these for a month and 90 days of the regular peals before that, my nausea went away! I also switched to a birth control pill and that seems to help too. For some reason, IBS seems worse with hormone fluctuations, so with the combination of the two, I don't take heartburn medication anymore. I really noticed how much these help when I had to take a course of antibiotics. Since they wipe out all the bacteria, my nausea came back. I took 2 a day during the antibiotics and after until I felt back to normal. I also have keratosis pilaris and my skin is better, though not cured. The price here is great for a 90 day supply. I won't go a day without taking them. If you have IBS, I would give them a try.

I use these every night or sometimes every other night. They help me be able to use the bathroom regularly. Keep in mind they are quite strong and may be too strong for some people, you should switch to regular instead of IC if you are going to the bathroom too many times in a day, as you won't be absorbing nutrients properly. But because I have such severe digestive issues these are perfect for me.
