Good Starter Set, Great Price
These brushes are not the best quality, but this is a great starter set. Some of the bristles are a little uneven but I haven't experienced any fall out with these yet. These are the kind of brushes that will leave strokes, which some people like and some people don't. I really like the case. The larger brushes are one to a pocket and smaller ones are paired together. I've moved some around and have made room for four more brushes and a palette knife. I recommend this for beginners or anyone trying to save money. When the brushes stop working, they can be replaced one by one with better brushes. At an average of less than a dollar per two brushes and a case, this is a good buy.Don't bother buying these brushes if you are picky, though. This may not be worth your money. Also remember to wash the brushes before using to remove the starch or any loose bristles.

Okay brushes for the price.
I'm not a painter, but I got some acrylics as a gift and bought these brushes to use with them, along with the 8x10 canvases. They're very hard and dry, relatively the same size. They're not terrible, but I've used better brushes. I would say they're good for basic, not detailed paintings. You get two shapes each size; a rounder tipped brush and a square tipped brush. They came in a big canvas pouch, which is great for storing, but smells terrible (ONLY if you smell it yourself, it won't stick up the room or anything). It also seems like it just eats the paint. I dip the brush in and then do a few swipes, and all the paint is gone but there's barely any on the canvas.Ahh, this is why I don't paint!

Good set for beginners
I got this set as a beginner painter, and I really liked the variety of the brushes I got in it. I ended up having to get some detail brushes (smaller than the smallest 1" diameter brush in the pack), but I had everything else in this pack. I like the bag it came in, too. Very easy to handle. The brushes need to be wet when using them, and some of the fibers came out in my first use. After I figured out that they need to be wet, they've been fine.

Not for painting
The best part of this order was the brush bag. The brushes are very bad quality: the hairs began shedding off in the first use and have some kind of glue on them to keep the brushes stiff, which began peeling off into my watercolor painting. This set would be good for arts and crafts, and alternative art projects; painting....not so much. The assortment of sizes is great.

Perfect!
I recently tested these brushes by doing two projects. One was an acrylic painting on canvas, and the other was doing acrylic dry brushing technique on hand carved wood. These brushes were perfect! No bristle loss while painting on canvas. They held their shapes very well. They "loaded" paint wonderfully. During the dry brushing technique on wood again they performed beautifully. On one of the pieces of wood I needed to scrub a little harder than usual to get into some deeply carved detail and the bristles held! No bristle loss and while they tended to flair a little bit during the process they regained their shape when cleaned, formed and allowed to dry. I highly recomend this set. Don't let the low price fool you, they are quality!

Use once, throw away.
I bought these brushes for little touch-up paint jobs around the house so I wasn't looking for great quality brushes, didn't expect to get bad quality brushes. Bristles fall out while painting. Very stiff and unevenly trimmed bristles. Not a very good product. On the other hand, the canvas holder that they came in was rather nice, looking to repurpose that.

Not awesome.
At first I was excited because of this product's low price and quantity.I now see that should have been a warning, this quality is crap. The brush bristles are, for lack of a better term, gross... Stiff, rough, and fall out at the slightest poke. They will get stuck in your paint and dry there, fall out when mixing paint and even rinsing. Some of my brushes are almost bald now, from the hair loss.Do yourself a favor. If buying for a beginner, buy Crayola or other kids' brand, they will at least stay together. Or buy a more expensive set for a lot better quality. The handles were sturdy, and the canvas bag is handy.
