The Maya (Beginners)

Excellent book for those with a little bit of reading experience and an interest in history.I love the topic of ancient American civilisations, have a lot of book s about it myself and visited some of the sites. So this is a great book that allows me to share my enthusiasm with my young son.The text and narrative in this book is very clear and well-structured, the font size slightly large so it is an easy read for my son, who is probably already a more advanced reader than the target audience.The illustrations (both art and photographs) are pretty much to the point.There are plenty in of nice little facts and the illustrations give a good idea what life was like in in Maya societiesThe hard-cover book is very well presented. Therefore I found the £5 price good value for money.However, I should point out that these books are also sold as a boxed set, that will get you a much more favourable per-book price.
