Seriously. It was well worth the money. Gives you files to practice with, even step by step guides to make it understandable. Very worth the money. Author could do with a few more proof reads! Curious to see what else he’s written.

I have created several PivotTables before, but each time I had to try many times to get exactly what I wanted. This book gives you 40 examples, or at least the downloads from the website listed in the book does, each has a copy of the data and a solved “Answer Sheet.” The object is to select the data and Insert a Pivot Table (the last three chapters also have you Insert a Pivot Chart.) Then you can compare your answer to the “Answer Sheet” and verify you have the same result, although you may need the Switch Row/Column, or in my case look at the names carefully. I spent an hour on the last example because I had selected Batwoman instead of Batman.All examples use the same data set, which makes it faster to move through the examples. I completed the book in two days but did not save any of my work, to give me a clean start if I need a refresher. The disadvantage of using the same data set is that you miss many opportunities to make mistakes, which can be the best way to learn how to avoid others in the future. Still, if you are just learning Pivot Tables this is an excellent book to get comfortable with them. Another fault is that it does not show any modifications of Slicers to make an attractive dashboard, but perhaps he will cover this in another book.

This book is short and to the point. It is great for a beginner, those who find excel intimidating, or just need to understand the basic principles.I avoided excel charts, pivots tables, and dashboards for as long as I could. But if you want your $$, gotta build the skills. This book did help with me ALOT. I also read the pivot chart, formulas, and v-lookup books by this author. I am now able to build out my dashboards, and it has encouraged me to learn more about excel.I recommend.

On a deadline to familiarize myself with Pivot Tables, I bought this book. Although I have worked with Excel for years, I spent countless hours reformatting data on my own...copy and paste, etc. I did not realize how much time could be saved utilizing the Pivot Table function within Excel. I was fairly intimidated at the outset, but this book really presented the information in language I could understand. This book, along with the data tables emailed to me by the author after purchase, made learning and using Pivot Tables FAR easier than I dreamed possible. The data tables I received had accompanying answer keys...seriously, an in-person course could not have been more beneficial, and I am certain the cost would have been far greater. Thank you Mr. Mejia! You are an excellent teacher and I can now start my new job with confidence!!!

I (am) WAS struggling with EXCEL in every kind of way. This book and the worksheets that you get with these are easy to understand and before I knew it I was creating my own pivot tables manipulating data and feel much more confident in the use of this powerful software. My goal was to learn all this by December 2021 but now I'm going to get the rest of these books and make EXCEL dance for me by the end of October. Thank you for coming up with a way that is fun, easy and leads to more and more learning. I would recommend this to anyone who wants or needs to learn EXCEL.

I loved the author's enthusiasm but it seemed like the book was written and published in a hurry. There are so many typos, grammatical errors and missing words. I can't believe I bought this book. I found a more helpful tutorial online. The author could use an editor.

This was 'no-fluff' straight to the heart of the subject with lots of practical examples and connected to relevant exercises. I worked through it on 2 train journeys.

This is very satisfying. I am half way through the book & I know what I am doing. It's so easy to follow & having the downloadable tables mean you know instantly if you are getting it right or not (rather that trying to use your own data). All my fears have gone away. I am quite proficient in Excel but I was clueless in Pivot tables until today. I will certainly be avoiding a lot of manual calculations now that I know how easy this can be. I heartily recommend this book.

Wanted to find something to refresh my knowledge about pivot tables as was out of touch with Excel for some time. Bought a couple of books on Amazon, all of them useless. This one was my last try and couldn't find anything better. Not sure about total beginners but if you have had a bit of experience with pivot tables and want either to refresh your knowledge or to deepen it this is a perfect book for you. Full of prepared tables you can download and use for your exercises. Everything explained with clarity. Contrary to other books I've bought illustration are actually readable and clear so that you can easily follow instructions. Examples and exercises are interesting. Perhaps it's a kind of perversion as I like working with Excel but the book is quite involving and, when working with it, you can easily lose track of time.
