Protractor is useless, cutting guide is good
The included protractor is totally useless. Measures interior corners whose angle is greater than 90 degrees as Less than 90 degrees. Super frustrating. Otherwise, this is a decent tool/kit so far

Finally!
This works like a charm. Practice with some scrap molding. Hold firmly in place and go slow with the miter saw cut. Amazed with results.

works
Works well enough !!!JUST MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE MOUDLING IN THE JIG RIGHT SIDE UP!!! this was not mentioned in the instructions and I ruined an entire piece trying to figure out why all my cuts were upside down. Caveat to this is normally when cutting crown molding you have to cut it upside down to get the cuts right, however with the jig it is the opposite. Also the included angel gauge was a nice thought however its not very accurate in all reality it sucks.

Fantastic! I used this and didn't make a single mistake with my crown cuts
I'm a weekend warrior with a crummy Delta 10' mitre saw. I wanted to put crown moulding on my kitchen cabinets, and after watching a few videos, I was trying to wrap my brain around the 'flip the crown stock upside-down and then reverse the side of your cut to the opposite side...' Trim carpenters install crown all the time, so they're used to the mental gymnastics to cut an inside corner. That confusion completely vanishes with this crown jig. Put the stock in right-side up and drop the blade. The jig is lightweight, holds the stock well, and has the inside/outside right/left angles stamped into the top of the jig. No more upside-down crown for this hacker. Even with my crummy saw, my corners are tight and I literally NEVER screwed up a cut. Not one time.Granted, a little cabinet crown moulding is not that big a deal. But for a homeowner who doesn't want to screw up a couple of boards of crown stock because he forgot to flip it over before he cut it- this jig is GREAT! It just does what it should... makes it easy for normal guys like us to get professional results. And it's inexpensive; it literally paid for itself with the money I would have thrown away on messed up mitre cuts. The protractor is a wonderful addition, but my cabinets are all right angles, so I haven't really used it yet. But it gives you both the angle AND the measurement of the angle divided by two, so you know how to set your saw table.Anyway, if you're on the fence, this jig is a great help. Good luck with your project!
