Perfect replacement. I love it!
What a difference with this magical little wonder. I was always so frustrated with that pleated one that is installed with the disposal. It would be a battle to get stuff to go down the drain and the water would hit one of the pleats and always splash back at me. I constantly had to remove it to clean the underside because it was always full of gunk. I started searching around and I saw this replacement. It fits my drain perfectly. The food goes down easily. Nothing gets stuck. I don't have to spend five minutes trying to get everything pushed through. It also doesn't make the water splash back at me; it flows easily through it. It's well made, simple to install and it makes using my disposal so much easier. There's no odor. No garbage collects on the underside. It just works. It's really great.

Fits our ProSS and Evolution Essential disposals perfectly
The sound baffles on both of our Insinkerator disposals were shot so I was looking for replacements. I found several different possible baffles - there's this one that was claimed to fit everything *except* the Evolution models, the "one piece" gasket version for the "badger" series (this is what our ProSS came with), and the new "anti-microbial super secret special expensive baffle" that "only fit the Evolution series".There were a ton of reviews, all providing conflicting (mis)information. It was extremely difficult to figure out what was right. This baffle, the RSB-00, was labeled on the package as working with a wide range of disposals, including our ProSS. The Evolution was *not* listed on the package, even though our Evolution disposal originally came with this baffle! When we installed it we replaced the original baffle with the anti-microbial one to match the one our older ProSS used, and put the original RSB-00 in a drawer. I compared that baffle with this new RSB-00 and it is identical. Both the Evolution Essential and ProSS have the same size disposal neck. The RSB-00 installed easily into the Evolution, fitting perfectly over the steel retaining ring. Our ProSS has one of the one-piece baffles installed so I used a matte knife to cut the original baffle out. Once the original baffle was removed the RSB-00 installed easily over the steel retaining ring and fits like a glove.I really like the look of the RSB-00 versus the "upgraded" anti-microbial model. It works better, drains faster, and as near as I can tell the disposals aren't any louder than with the "upgraded" heavier model. The ProSS has always been loud (definitely louder than the Evolution) and with the old degraded baffle it was even louder than normal. With this new baffle it's nearly as quiet as the Evolution, and doesn't splash water out of the disposal anymore. That's a huge upgrade in my opinion!I'm really happy with this purchase. I bought two because I didn't remember we had one already - that just means we have a spare on-hand for when these need replacement.

Like nobody has ever seen before
Everybody says this is the best disposer sound baffle. And let me tell you, this is a sound baffle like nobody has ever seen before. People said it couldn't be done, making a sound baffle like this. But these guys are incredible, and they have made my garbage disposer great again.

Extremely easy to install, does the job.
After finding all the "easy" ways that one can replace the splash guard / sound baffle on my 20-year old 777ss-1 Insinkerator, using stools, piles of books, shims etc., it occurred to me that there had to be a simpler solution. Well, this thing IS that simpler solution. By far the most difficult part was getting the new splash guard out of its original packing, and that took a pair of scissors and no more than thirty seconds or so. Once it was out I put it in the sink. It fits perfectly, easy to push into place yet tight enough that it is firmly there. Some, but not that much, noise reduction, but my purpose was to avoid splash-back and that works perfectly. Question to Insinkerator: Why not have this kind of splash guard from the beginning, and make life easier for your customers?

Works great
Okay, first of all, I used to sell GD's and I didn't even realize that some of them had baffles that couldn't be removed. So, of course, I got one. Before I say anything else, I'm going to tell everyone who, like me, needs someone to draw them a picture, how to remove the old one.I can't believe people actually put a new one over the foul-smelling, moldy, old one but here's how you get rid of it. First, I cut off as much as I could with scissors, then I used a plastic utility knife that lets you let out about an inch of blade, and held it flush against the side of the opening and shaved off the leftover edge, all the way around. Then I scrubbed every bit that I could possibly reach, while the hole was open. Then I put GD cleaner in it overnight and supposedly cleaned it. As described, the baffle fits perfectly. However, this GD has always smelled bad and I have never had one before where nothing works to get rid of it. Of course, it's better now and I can clean the baffle but I thought the problem would be solved. One more random comment; I noticed a lot of people bragging about grinding up bones and corn cobs, etc. Very bad move and not what GD's are meant for--even though the mfr.'s use it as a selling point so you'll spend more money. It's bad for the plumbing, the environment and an all-around bad idea. GD is for the residue left after you scrape your plates and pans in the garbage pail. Just putting that out there for people who want to be responsible users.

Fits Moen EXL 100C chefs series!!
Finding it impossible till now to find or even verify the size needed for a replacement I was pretty stoked that this one popped in slick and tight as you like. Even Moen doesn't give accurate info on the size you need to replace the.protective flap. As I JUST installed it I can't vouch for anything other than fit but knowing this is the right size should help anyone else with the Moen EXL100C who's tired of dodging flying garbage!
