At first my parakeet didn’t know what to think of his new coconut shell bed. For a week he only looked at it. Next he started chewing on his bed, climbing in & out. Climbing on top to reach his shredding toy. He pulls the ropes from his nearby rope climb & tries to stuff ropes into his bed! Adorable. Piper has yet to sleep in his bed. He loves to ring the bell & chew on soft, fabric liner. He thinks his bed is a toy. This coconut shell bed is very sturdy & well made. It’s by far my parakeet’s favorite toy. I Highly Recommend This Fantastic Bed. Comes in a 2 pack. Great quality. So happy I bought this item. Keeps Piper happy & Engaged All Day Long!

Our budgies LOVE these! We don’t let them have the fluffy inserts (not sure that’s safe) but they love to get in the coconuts and scrape the walls. It’s fun for them and helps with their beak maintenance too.

These beds are SO adorable! Definitely worth getting!! I love them so much and I'm pretty sure the birds will too! I'll update if I get a picture of them in their beds! 😊

This product works and serves its purpose, but this is just a simple coconut shell. I was expecting something more polished or specially treated for the price. It's really no different from a coconut you'd buy at the supermarket. If you're looking to save some money, you could easily buy a coconut, enjoy the fruit, and make one of these yourself. It's a decent product, but not a great value.

Mango the parakeet I bought this one for will play with the bell, but she still will only lay her eggs in the corner on the pine pellets. No matter what I've bought to replace she is not going to settle for other than that corner of the cage. I think their design is perfect.

My finches love these! Both birds sleep in it side by side with plenty of room. It took a few days for them to want to go in but once they did, it was a game changer. They are washable but I just rinse with water and air dry so I don't kill my birds with chemicals. They just laid their first egg in one!
