High value but low cost...
This review is not a paid review, I bought this knife with my hard earned pennies and every penny counts. Grand Way knife, a light weight, low cost, high value dagger that is sharper than my American made dagger, ( I can't post the name against guide lines) that I paid much much more for. I have lots of daggers and your Grand Way dagger beats them all in sharpness from the factory, bravo and thank you. Nobody wants to receive a new dull knife in the mail but many of us do, even knives from big name brands. I hear some remark about the danger of no cross guard and that somehow this is a defect in the knife and I say, this is far from the truth. The rubber grip is designed to not let the hand slip when gripped with good purchase, and it functions fine that way. The knife isn't a bush craft knife or a throwing knife or a hunting knife. The history of this knife design has one purpose, and I encourage you if you don't know that history, to research it and learn what it is because the knife design has a fascinating history. At the end of the day it is easy to make a cross guard for them if you choose too. And please don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the knife can't be used in bush craft or throwing, It just may not perform at that type of task very well. I encourage you to buy one, I plan to get another because the blade is just that good.

Not perfect but is nice for the price.
Ordered it because I was curious about the double edge. It's decent quality, especially for the price. It's a sub $15 so obviously isn't going to be super high quality. Wasn't sharp out the box, most knives aren't super sharp but are at least working sharp out of the package. Not this one, it was pretty dull. Not a big deal though, a few passes on each side on a ceramic rod got it pretty sharp. Haven't used it much but it feels pretty nice in the hand, is reasonably light, decently balanced, but still seems sturdy enough for all but very heavy duty cutting tasks. Can't speak to edge retention but IF it's actually 440C it should be pretty good. Given the price and country of manufacture I'm skeptical it's actually 440C, 9CR or 8CR seem more likely but who knows? Time will tell how it holds up. Almost forgot, as others have mentioned a guard would be nice. If you wanted to it shouldn't be too hard to add one. You can find them pre-made online for as low $5-$10. If you have the proper tools you could also just get a flat piece of metal (brass, aluminum, whatever you want really) and make one yourself and it'd probably only cost a few bucks.

Nice knife
Great design. Well made. Blade was well ground and sharp. Handle was ergonomic and had good texture. Good fit and finish. Sheath was as mediocre as I expected. I would have gladly paid more for a firm plastic sheath.

Very Nice and Very Reasonably Priced!
Excellent knife, especially at this price point. 440C steel, no crossguard, fuller (blood groove) center of the blade both sides, and a Kraton-like grip. Very good edge out of the box, but with some work with the 1500, 2000, 3000 grit stones and then finish with a leather strop you can get it shaving sharp. Didn't take long either. These are made in Charkov, Ukraine (SLAVA UKRAINI!) and NOT China. They're touted as a camping/survival knife but their design is more of that of a 'stick it in the bad guy's spleen' type of knife. Comes with a decent black nylon sheath. At this price point, why not get two? Highly recommend!

Only the price is cheap
*bought mine before the upgraded handle* I think I got mine for $13ish. I just wanted a cheap knife to "use and abuse" not expecting to receive a knife that went from "throw away" to "stow away". I was happy with the price before I got the knife and even happier after I got the knife. I know this isn't 'Excalibur' quality materials but I'm very pleased with what it is. My non-upgraded handle is still a great handle, I was never worried about slipping up and cutting my hand. For the knife, the weight and shape of the handle is just right for "centered" holding. I really like the dual blade style with the "drain" grooves, mine came a little rough but not enough to dissuade me from loving it. The blade material is sharp otb and is easy to give a quick sharpening to without having to use the full on sharpening kit. I like the serrated section, but imo the serration would be better if it was full length or close to full. As long as you're not trying to go "Rambo" with this knife or chopping trees down or tying to pry open everything possible then you have a very handy and useful knife. Great for most average household and camping tasks and some self defense, this is the knife for that. I just might have to buy another one now.

Adult version of “THUG LIFE!!!”
Ok way more than you expect!!! first off Blade steel is 440 C and they’re not faking it. Blade length is amazing. The length of the entire knife is just in that Goldilock zone! Here’s something you never hear anybody talk about the pommel on this thing and the butt are perfect. The grip on the handle absolutely stunning. I could sit here with a thesaurus all day long and give you descriptive adjectives on how much I love this thing or you could just buy it and find out for yourself because this thing is well worth every penny and then double it. Only thing is lacking is the same thing that’s lacking on every other knife, the sheath, so just pony up and buy yourself some Kydex and make your own. That’s what I plan on doing and then this is gonna be a great adventure knife, hands-down probably my new favorite.

I was pleasantly surprised with this knife. The only negative I have to say about it was that with any decent use in the woods the metal pummel at the bottom of the handle snapped off causing it to fall apart. The knife came razor sharp and the handle was a great feeling. With the sedation it was a perfect camp and diving knife. The clasp on the sheath did come off unfortunately, and when I dropped the knife the metal disc snapped off but otherwise I was greatly pleased with it. Enough that I plan on buying a second one when able to.

My husband purchased this knife and gave it to me so I'd have something to protect myself with while he worked overnight shifts. This knife is solid, sturdy and seems to be very well made. It has a good balanced weight and feels good in my hand. I am an older disabled woman with smaller but square hands. My husband has large strong hands and we both like the feel of this knife. It's very manageable but I feel it would be the intimidation needed should the situation arise.
