I cook spaghetti in it. You can cook any pasta you want in it. Place spaghetti in slow cooker. Boil water in kettle. Pour boiled water in cooker COVERING noodles. I cook on high the 120 watt setting for 45 minutes. Only giving quick stir at 20 minute time .

Hot dogs are already cooked. If you are asking whether you can use this slow cooker to heat already cooked hot dogs the answer is yes. Make sure to add a bit of water or something.

5 3/4 Inch Diameter at top opening narrowing down to 4 1/2 inches at bottom of crock. Useable depth (Less lid ring) is 3 1/2 Inches.

Is the shape of the pot oval or round?

As I was looking at the different colors of the crockpot, I realized that the different colors are different shapes and sizes. The stainless steel and white are round and 1 1/2 quart, the red and purple are oval and 2 quart, the black one is round and 3 quart.
