Great card, great quality, utility limited by current boards on the market though
The card does what it's meant to do and does it well... performance and cooling are both fantastic, throughput is excellent... all around great product with one substantial limitation that's really more of a fault with the chipsets/chips available than the card itself. In order to run all four channels on this card and actually use four nvme drives with it, it has to plugged in a full pci-e x16 slot with all 16 pci-e lanes... a physical pci-e x16 slot running x4 or x8 lanes will not only allow you to use one or two of the nvme ports on the card. Given that there are, to my knowledge, zero consumer motherboards available with two full pci-e 4.0 x16 slots running all 16 pci-e channels, you're essentially forced to choose between video card performance or drives. So, that all having been said, unless you're getting this to use on something like a Threaripper build with two full 16 lane pci-e 16x slots, you'll have to give up either video card performance or drive capacity.Ultimately, I returned the card and bought a motherboard with four on-board nvme slots to meet my needs without sacrificing video card performance but this would be a great product for builds, like x399 Threadripper systems, that support dual full bandwidth x16 slots so still giving it 4 stars

This PCIe 4.0 M.2 adapter board worked fine in a Lenovo P620 workstation
The board was loaded up with one Samsung 2-TB 980 Pro solid-state drive module. Installation went easily, despite the the very terse instructions. The board has worked fine in an AMD Threadripper Pro based Lenovo P620 workstation. Note that this board is not officially qualified by Lenovo for use in the P620. I have not tried loading more thant the one M.2 drive so far.

Built like a tank!
This unit was a bit pricey for what it is I thought. But upon receiving it I must say it’s built extremely well. This thing is heavy and solid and feels professional. I am running 4 PNY XLR8 1TB drives on a Gigabyte Aorus Extreme X-399 (Threadripper) board. On boot I double checked bios settings and set it up in windows, it has ran without a hitch. I do not have any software for testing read/write but moving files etc seemed to suggest it’s working normally according to Windows storage mngr. I have the OS along with several VM’s running off this drive along with hosting game servers. Has not missed a beat. I highly recommend this adapter card if you need it.

A very flawed device
This thing has a lot of issues even on supported boards. I'm running an AORUS X570 Extreme. Upon installation, I would occasionally get a bluescreen or the drives inside it would not be visible until I reboot. Now, the software doesn't respond and the fan sits at 100%. Would reconsider purchasing this if you're thinking about it.
