Absolute beast
Unreal suction, if it fits up the nozzle it's going up the nozzle! I've been do a lot of very VERY dusty work pulling down old lath and plaster ceilings and this has made short work of the clean up. Yeah the filter needs a good bang and brush off every now and again but that's to be expected with such fine dust. The power hook-up for tools is a total winner too, really reduced dust output using circular and mitre saws in the room I'm renovating. It's very lightweight too but punches well above its weight, attachments are stored neatly inside and it's really easy and quick to empty.Definitely a winner for me

Works great!
I bought this to use as a shop-vac, but to test it, I hoovered the carpet in my front room that had just been hoovered by a Dyson upright, the results were surprising as quite a lot of dirt, dust, dog hairs and fluff were collected! The Evolution R15VAC is lighter than a Dyson, quieter than a Dyson, picked up more than a Dyson and certainly costs a lot less than a Dyson! Typically I bought this just for nearly £100 just before the price dropped another £24!The capacity of 15L sounds like a lot, but it soon fills up given how powerful the suction is and how much is collected in a workshop environment. As a shop-vac, the power take off function is useful and saves a lot of messing about having to start/stop for each machine you plug in to the PTO socket. I haven't tried the thickness/planer yet (which throws out a lot of sawdust and chippings) but the table saw, circular saw and Jigsaw all worked well and nearly all the dust/debris was captured. I think I saw the PTO socket was rated for 1700W, but it ran my 1800W table saw with no apparent problems.Overall this is a very nice bit of kit, small, lightweight and sits unobtrusively in a corner sucking up all the dust and chippings from my power tools! Just have to remember to empty the darn thing!

Perfect for use with power tools
I bought this hoover to use with a bandsaw and belt sander,The main things i was looking for were the power take off socket which turns the hoover on and off when a power tool plugged into it is turned on and off,And the small non cylindrical form factor.I had a square-ish space on some shelving against a wall near the roller cabinet my bandsaw and belt sander are bolted to, and this hoover fits on that shelving nicely, sticking out by about 150mm.The air inlet vents for the motor are on each side of the main box at the back, and the air out from the vacuum 'chamber' goes via another set of sideways vent slots at the front.Again this is perfect when the hoover will sit on a shelf off of the floor, it's going to be hard to accidently cover these air in/out vents.:It has a soft start for the vacuum motor which is nice, and when used with the power take off socket it has a short delay before the hoover motor starts up.... this is perfect as it reduces the load on your electrical system that you'd usually get with 2 motors starting up at once (the vacuums and the power tools)Then when you turn the power tool off, the vacuum motor runs on for a few seconds before shutting off, again a very nice feature, this sucks all the sawdust / shavings out of the pipework that you usually produce as you lift up the piece of wood you have just cut, and sawdust is knocked free.:The hose starts out at ~58mm, and goes down to quite a small hose size, then a small end piece, but this fits perfectly on most handheld power tools,it worked perfectly with a biscuit jointer and a circular saw.But i got it to use with a couple of stationary tools, and these have 60mm dust outlets,This is good as i am currently 3D printing a few round adapters to allow me to use some 50mm flexible vacuum hose straight from the hoovers inlet to a swept tee piece, and then to both the bandsaw and sanders dust ports.:This hoover is pretty lightweight, and i found it perfect to take into the loft with me to clean out the inline bathroom fan's that had never been cleaned since they were installed,Here the blow function of this hoover was used as well, and with the supplied narrow bore hose you get a half decent amount of pressure which blew a lot of the dust out the vent pipe.:I'm just annoyed that the price went down just after i bought one.

Efficient Vacuum Cleaner
Firstly the price, this is excellent value.Cleaner has lots of functions, plugging power tools into the cleaner means it is automatically switched on/off ithe tool use. Been using this with the evolution chop saw and table saw and dust extraction is excellent.Less les good bits - the tools are functional, but do not feel like hight quality, similar to the power lead, its plasticky and stiff. The filter i side gets clogged VERY easily if you are using this for saw dust etc, you really need a bag if what you are cleaning is powdery. Filter cleaning really needs an air line. Lastly it would have been nice if the hose could be fitted into the case for transport.Tool does extract dust and clean well, it also is a wet vac, but not used this function yet.
