A large hose clamp?** A: The body is attached to a mount with three holes so you can screw it into your dash or your A pillar using the provided hardware. You’re also gonna need to drill a hole for your four wires (positive, neutral, ground, input) which I found to be a bit short so either get some wires to give you more flexibility or place your gauge accordingly. **Q: Will this work for a 5 cylinder engine?** A: Unfortunately no. Only for 4/6/8 cylinders **Q: Is this tach water proof?** A: It’s not a sealed unit. I don’t believe it’s waterproof. **Q: is the tach compatible with a 6A msd ignition box ?** A: Yes it is, but I would highly recommend upgrading to a sportsman series at least if you can afford to do so.
