Great replacement part and price is just as good.
I don't know why I didn't think of replacing these before I have struggled with my existing remotes where they work/don't work or you have to mash the buttons to turn the freaking light on/off... So frustrating well these little beauties worked like a charm set the dip-switches and presto on/off with easy touch and all functions work great.anyone with hampton bay or similar remote having issues I would spend the few bucks to make your headaches go away. Easy and cheap solution. Beats having to replace the whole remote unit in the fan canopy and then use new remote. This could not be easier solution...I had 3 units to replace my fans are 16 years old same with the remotes and nothing wrong with fans but the remotes are crapping out. This solves problem cheaply and quickly....

Works like a charm
I installed a Harbor Breeze remote kit on a ceiling fan about 10 years ago. The remote began to be difficult to operate lately - I had to press the buttons hard and hold them down before it would work. I bought this replacement unit but had my doubts if it would work since my remote receiver was 10 yrs old. I simply matched up the dip switches with the old unit, put in a new battery and it works as advertised. One of the reviews said it would not operate the dimming function on the light but this was not true - the dimmer still works. Good product.

Good but I found out the motor in the fan I need to get that
It was working great. The remote is good. It turned on my fan but now the lights don’t come on. I believe the sensor inside. The fan may be bad. I need to buy a new sensor for inside. He said that it was working great.

It just works
The remote works perfectly! After my old remote broke, I searched online awhile before I found it here (should've checked here first). It took awhile before I found the id for the remote (CHQ7030T) on the back of the remote in the little raised writing to identify it. My old one looked exactly like the photo here on the product page and the new one works even better since the buttons on the old one were getting a little worn down and hard to press. The original remote I had only turned the light on/off and this one does the same. Like other reviewers, I have a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan. Be sure to look at the position of the dip switches in your old remote behind the battery and set the switches in your new remote the same way.

Directions, instructions. None.
So after 2 days of fidgeting with this remote because it didn't come with instructions, directions or anything, I finally got it to work, it works great, I can dim the lights, brighten the lights, turn them off or turn them on. Even the controls for the fan work perfectly. Now for a little advice. Do not throw your old remote away! You will need to know where to set your frequency switches that are behind the battery, also, you will need to have the fan on high and the light on. Now set your frequency switches to the same position as your old remote put in the battery push the light button. Done you're welcome. I gave it four stars because it didn't come with any instructions.

Replacement remote
When my new puppy chewed my fan remote I tried to locate another but the fam has been in use 8 years I was nervous I would not locate a replacement or would have to get a undone requiring me to practically take the fan apart. I walked out of faith tried this one and it worked and I did not even have to reprogram it. I now make sure it is hidden from the puppy

It works!!
The ceiling fan in my master bedroom has been there since we moved in almost 20 years ago. Throughout the years, I have successfully shuffled remotes from different fans throughout the house but alas, my final remote stopped working. By this time, not only do I use the fan for air circulation, but it also controls the overhead light which is invaluable in the middle of the night. When I read the reviews stating some customers received the wrong remote, I was so nervous to order this item however, I really didn’t have any other choice as the only way this fan can be operated is by remote and I couldn’t find a replacement anywhere else. I’m happy to say as soon as I installed the battery and hit the light button Vilà it worked! It took a few days to get here, and I have missed my fan in that timeframe, but very satisfied with this product and company!
