Yepp Nexxt Mini Child Bike Seat

So my main concern with this chair was how would it affect steering. I was pleasantly surprised at how light the steering feels, its not exactly the same but it's not a big adjustment, it's pretty easy to use and riding doesn't feel that affected.Downsides on my particular bike the turning circle is increased, it's not a problem whilst you're cycling normally though may be an issue down a tight alley or something like that, however on a ladies or Dutch style bike I don't think this would be so much of an issue. Instructions to mount on an ahead system are not present, only for quill but it will fit,just need to figure it out. Also another common issue reported with straps falling off shoulders I found too, I'll need to get something to hold them together in the middle.The pros, it's light, very light, system for getting it on and off is a little fiddly at first but is easy once you get the hang of it it's fine and it's secure (both to not be stolen and stay in place), easy to cycle with, good view point for the child rather than a view of your behind, it works.Just some info on setup 29" front suspension mtb, I'm 172cm (5'8"), child is 71cm and about 11kg. I suspect I would be slightly better on a hybrid bike or 27.5" mtb, but it works well enough and is comfy to ride.Hope this info helps with your purchase, I'd certainly buy it again.

This is a fabulous baby seat. My little boy just turned 1 earlier this month. I took him out today for the 1st time on the Yepp Nexxt Mini along with my 4 year old son who was attached to a tag along bike at the rear. We covered a round trip of 9 miles to the farm shop. I have a new mountain bike and was a bit apprehensive as I heard some people had issues with fitting the seat to a mountain bike. I had no reason to worry, it hardly even affects the ride of the bike. It's also amazing how quickly the seat attaches and detaches from the bike. Even the bracket that holds the seat doesn't look out of place.Up until now my wife and I had to have a baby sitter if we wanted to go out on our bikes, not anymore. This is a serious game changer. Looking forward to many rides over the summer.

Have been using this daily since buying it over 2 months ago. It's fitted to a MTB (no additional kit other than what was in the box); this does mean the riders knees will touch the back of the seat, and the passengers head might touch riders chest ... this only gets annoying beyond 10-15km.The seat can be unlocked from the adaptor, kept at home when not in use, and easy to wipe down.Overall; it's secure, seems comfortable for the little man (80cm tall), I can keep an eye on him, and we're all enjoying its use.

This is brilliant, my son loves being upfront taking it all in. It makes for a more comfortable ride for me too where all the weight is well placed and I'm not forever looking over my shoulder. Highly recommend!

The carrier fits securely & does not throw the bike off balance or obscure any vision. It is well designed for the child’s comfort & safety.
