I received this as a gift but there aren't any instructions.** A: You have received a very nice gift. Your External Hard Drive came with a small cable. Just plug it into your WD Easystore 4tb External Hard Drive, then plug the other end into your computer's USB Port (Normally in front of computer). The Drive should automatically open a window showing what is stored on the Drive. If it does not automatically open, you can Double Click on "This PC" or "Computer" on your Desktop and open it that way. There should be a few files on the Drive normally used for backup or whatever. NOW - You have a nice External Hard Drive plugged into your computer where you can store Videos, Photos, Auto Books, and Backup Data such as your Documents. The Drive you received probably has twice the storage capacity that your computer has. If you do not use the new External Hard Drive often, you can just unplug it from the computer and replug it when you with to use the Drive. Nice Drive - Nice Gift.
