My husband was being a PITA about using a Sharp TV a 1999 Dell model as two computer monitors. The TV has a VGA PC in port, but the 12 year old HP tower had one VGA port and one DVI video port.The TV didn't recognize at all, was not compatible. The Dell was so old and the model number was in Mandarin characters, so we had no hope of finding drivers besides the PnP Generic, which made the view through DVI dim and so far off-right that you couldn't see the screen image. (the buttons for adjustment don't work either).So, I found a newer used monitor (still old circia 2010), it's not the big tv like he wanted, but it was compatible with the DVI conversion.Just a note to keep in mind for those doing these conversions that it doesn't always work, but this convertor makes a nice view, was a reasonable price, and was shipped quickly by the seller. All in all, good transaction.

I ordered this as a tool to test a PC I received from a customer. The PC won't POST so it is on parts-hold and does not offer any display. This adapter looks like a fine product. Maybe after I receive the parts for the PC, I will return and offer a proper evaluation of this adapter.

Worked perfectly to plug in my VGA cable into the DVI-D port on my graphics card.

Upgraded my PC for the first time in 16 years. Monitor is AVG. This adapter made everything right, until the next issue pops up. Buys me some time to research a new monitor purchase...

i recently got a pc and a monitor. everything went smooth sailing until it came to putting the pieces together. we went to put the monitor into the back of the pc and noticed that the connection was wrong. i freaked out thinking it was ruined and the money was wasted. after doing some research, i realized theres an adapter/add on that can fix that. so i ordered the adapter and waited a day with prime and got the add on. IT WORKED! i got my pc hooked up to my monitor. thank you so much to whoever made this!! you saved my life!! (well, my pc’s life lol.)
