GAN 356 i Carry, Smart Speed Cube 3x3 with Intelligent Tracking of Timing, Movements and Steps with CubeStation App, Non-Rechargeable Battery Version

I really love this cube, I can pack it in the case and take it with me to many places, right now the price was only around 25 dollars, and for a smart magnetic cube, it preformed great. The app is a little troublesome to set up for the elderly/visually impaired but if your visually impaired it would be impossible to solve the actual Rubik’s cube. It turns decently well, I average 9 seconds on the 11m pro out of 20 solves and here I averaged 11-12 on the app. It’s an amazing smart cube, for beginners who love the competitive edge that the app has to offer, would definitely recommend over the i3 just for the price-performance ratio.

My son plays with this everyday. Quality is great, you can adjust the smoothness to get a good speed. Easy to use. He connects it to his phone to play online with other players.

ORIGINAL REVIEWBought this just over a week ago. Cube turns great, but the Cubestation app has been beyond frustrating - despite 100+ attempts at connecting, contacting GAN supporting, and providing GAN with additional data, the app will simply not connect with GAN servers. Holding onto the cube in the hopes that the software problems will be resolved, but as of now, paying $40 for smartcube that does not work is rather silly.UPDATE - 4/22With the newest cubestation update, everything is working. More importantly, I have to commend GAN customer service, especially Joann for getting this working. The cube itself is great, and while cubestation is a little bit clunky and not always intuitive, I believe, based on how attentive GAN was to my problems, that this software will continue to improve (don't get me wrong, the software now works great, but can be a little confusing)

Awesome product. Very smooth. Easy to use and learn

I've purchased several products from GAN over the past year and have mostly been happy. I was hoping to get a smart cube that could help me practice algorithms, etc. The cube itself is pretty simple in its construction, akin to a sub $10 cube. My main issue with this is the app. Its absolute garbage. Getting the cube to pair with my S24 Ultra was very difficult, and after it finally connected it somehow disconnected before I could get into using it. The app also starts up with Chinese writing for the menus, so anyone who doesn't understand the language has to guess their way through the app and features. It uses a large wafer style battery and out of the box, the cube was pretty much dead. Maybe it was sitting on a shelf somewhere in a warehouse for a long time. I ended up getting rid of this and getting the GoCube, which has a thousand times better app. Skip this cube and buy one of GAN's regular cubes, or pick up the GoCube if you want app compatability that actually works.
