Richard Neutra: 1892 - 1970: Survival through Design

Despite having a rock-solid architectural education, including architectural surveys and history, I was not well-acquainted with the work of Richard Neutra. Focusing on his ample residential design work, this modest book does a great job of reacquainting me with this extraordinarily talented architect.

I’m collecting all of the basic architecture books. This one is gorgeous.

I bought a few books for display purposes and I have found that I enjoy a clean, minimalist style. With that, it look’s perfect on my shelf with my fake books underneath.

I sent this book to my brother who is a fan of Neutra. He absolutely loves it. By the way, the name is pronounced “noy-truh”.

Loved the gift he had been looking for it.
