Great for me, also great for the big fluffy dog - need to get a second one.
Really helps keep me cool - ice packs stick to the collar with Velcro and the collar stays on your neck with Velcro. It holds it's cold real well for about 45 minutes for me, then feels only cool. It's typically in the 90's here when I use it. Too humid here for evaporative cooling so this is great. It "sweats" after a while when the ice really begins to melt, but then so do I and the cool drips are not so bad. I use it for yard work and dog walking mainly- I also have been putting on the big fluffy dog lately. He really seems to be tolerating the summer poorly this year (getting older) and tends to poop out long before the others. I have let him use this when we walk lately and he seems happier and walks and participates more even though he has a fluffy neck. It barely fits him(newfie/aussie mix) due to his sixe and the fluff. I will eventually buy another so we can both use it when we walk.

Over-priced and presented as more than what it is!
It seems much sturdier in the picture. It's really just a flimbsy outer strip like a lightweight headband with velcro at the end to wrap around a plastic strip, with 3 bubbles of something that freezes up to keep cool.I ordered it in bright green, and I was sent light blue.The ad said that it stays cool for about one and a half hours. It does not. It only stays cool for about a half hour. I bought this for my brother who has a very heavy job outdoors and has to work in the 80-90 degree weather. He keeps switching the plastic insert constantly. It does help; but, they do not last long.Over priced for what it is, but when you're desperate to keep cool, you use what you have.

It works great. After over heating several times in my life I must be very careful to not over heat. Black Ice allows me to do more outside activities. Best system I've tried. I give it a 5 plus rating !!!

I haven't used this yet but my husband works out in the heat and I get hot flashes so I'm going to give it a try. We live in the desert and it gets very HOT - I'm hopeful that it will work. I put the black ice in the freezer and waiting now to wear it.

Made a major difference in his ms symptoms! Even in that extreme high heat we recently had. Great quality. Will be ordering another for a spare ice pack, and to swap out the cloth collar when it is in the wash.
