I thought I would try the D'Addarios and kicked myself for not trying them earlier. They are excellent quality and the sound on my Taylor acoustic guitar is excellent - I believe Taylor guitars now come with D'Addario strings fitted to some models instead of Elixir (I could be wrong). But anyway they are bright sounding yet the bass has some timbre.
