I'm an American who loves Chinese food but knows nothing about preparing it. I can't tell you whether this is what Hoisin sauce "should" taste like, but I can tell you that I DO like the taste of this product, and the price was reasonable, considering today's grocery prices. Thank you.

This is the only brand I will buy. The other ones I tried were awful, get this one and add to a variety of Asian dishes to sweeten them up. Love this product!

Ich koche seit über 20 Jahren asiatische Gerichte und habe schon viele Hoi-Sin-Saucen probiert – aber die von Lee Kum Kee gehört ganz klar zu den besten. Schon beim Öffnen steigt dieser typische süß-würzige Duft auf, der sofort Lust auf Wok und frisches Gemüse macht. Die Konsistenz ist angenehm dickflüssig, perfekt zum Marinieren, Glasieren oder einfach als Dip. Geschmacklich ist sie harmonisch ausbalanciert: süß, herzhaft, leicht salzig und mit einer feinen Knoblauchnote. Ich nutze sie mittlerweile regelmäßig – zu gebratenem Gemüse, Ente, Tofu oder als Basis für schnelle Asia-Nudelgerichte. Jedes Mal bringt sie dieses authentische Restaurant-Aroma auf den Teller, das man sonst selten zu Hause hinbekommt. Extra-Tipp aus der Praxis: Damit die Sauce ihr volles Aroma entfalten kann, sollte man sie vor dem Verwenden kurz auf Raumtemperatur bringen. Direkt aus dem Kühlschrank schmeckt sie etwas flacher – nach ein paar Minuten entfalten sich Süße und Würze perfekt. Nach der Verwendung unbedingt wieder kühl stellen, damit sie lange frisch bleibt. Was mir besonders gefällt: Sie schmeckt nicht künstlich oder überzuckert, sondern ehrlich und rund. Man merkt, dass hier Qualität und Erfahrung dahinterstecken. Wer es sehr mild mag, sollte sparsam dosieren – die Sauce hat ordentlich Charakter. Fazit: Eine hervorragende Sauce für alle, die asiatisch kochen oder einfach gerne experimentieren. Ehrlich, vielseitig und geschmacklich top – ich werde sie definitiv wieder kaufen!
