It's not crunchy or flaky, so I didn't think it would hold well, but this photo is of day two of my braids after sleeping on them with no protective cap and no touch ups. The pieces sticking out are just because my hair is layered. My hair is usually super frizzy, especially day two of braids, but they still look great with this product. I love that it doesn't have alcohol in it, nor any of the other bad stuff, and the scent is extremely mild, just smells clean and natural. I'm super sensitive to scents. To a normal person, they wouldn't be able to smell anything. And the price point is amazing. Highly recommend, for my hair type at least. I'm not sure how it would work on thick and/or coarse hair, but it works very well for me. Oh, and it's definitely conditioning without being greasy.
