Tough For Punch Needle
I had ordered this because it was $5 cheaper than the previous brand I always ordered on Amazon. My regular brand was also out of the 3 pack for $24. When first touching it, it felt soft and looked like the same cloth but when I started my punch needling, it was a very tough fabric. I would have to take breaks because my wrist would hurt. It didn’t glide through the fabric nicely. It took me a couple hours longer to finish my project.I kept thinking I was punching too close to where I had already punched. Then I thought I made the fabric too tight or too loose. I even bought 2 new needles after sharpening my current one had not made a difference. BUT THEN I figured out IT WAS THE CLOTH. So now I’m stuck with 4 punch needles and and extra piece of this cloth.I did get my project done and it worked fine. It does fray at the edges like every other “monks cloth”. It’s just tough to put the punch needle through. It would be fine for smaller punch needle like 2mm. I use a 5mm. I won’t be ordering more and just stick to the previous brand, even though it is $15 for a 2 pack instead of $10.
