Is this the same thing as my presciption pills? same indredients? my pill is oval orange , imprint V358.  i have to pay 200 bucks for 30 pills?

The doctor who tested & diagnosed my MTHFR mutation originally put me on the prescription version. After 2 months, my insurance refused to cover it anymore, but my doctor insisted I stay on it, claiming it contains other things that help the L-methylfolate to be absorbed. Yes, terrific, but not everyone can afford it (over $200 a month), because some of us are disabled & widowed, and trying to exist on a fixed income. I personally think it’s medically negligent, as well as lacking in commonsense, for BCBS to cover things like Viagra (when virtually all cases of ED are psychological), yet MTHFR mutation can be proven by blood work, and is known to cause a host of REAL medical problems, which are corrected by taking L-methylfolate. This product is, scientifically speaking, no different from the prescription version, it’s just lacking in a few additional things that MAY possibly help with absorption of L-methylfolate, but that‘s debatable.

I have mthfr and can’t tell if this brand ingredients is legitimate. what is the actual ingredient/makeup of the l-methylfolate that is in this?

Folate. 25,000mcg DFE=15mg L-Methylfoate. Metabolically Active form of Folic Acid. other ingredients are Rice Powder, Gelatin Capsule, Vegetable Magnesium Stearate & Silca. right off the label. hope this helps you!
