Codex: Space Marines (Warhammer 40, 000 Codex)

I've seen worse condition books on store shelves.Easily passable as new.Would not hesitate to buy more in the future.

The book arrived in good shape considering it was printed several decades ago. The price was reasonable and I'm very satisfied with this purchase

This is the new 2018 Space Marine Codex for 8th Edition Warhammer 40k. 50 bucks for a codex may seem a bit high for a supporting rulebook, but this is absolutely a solid offering and you're getting a quality product for that 50 dollars.Material construction: The binding is strong and well done, its hardback full color with quality paper. The book stays open when laid flat, and the pages mostly stay open to where you set it to. Its 208 pages of full color with gorgeous artwork and easily readable font. Organization is not quite as good as I'd like, and there is no index. The table of Contents is sufficient however, and operates as an index would with many detailed entries taking up most of a page.Contents: So, obviously you need this if you're playing Space Marines. It includes Chapter support for 7 chapters, (Ultramarines, White Scars, Imperial Fists, Black Templars, Salamanders, Raven Guard, and Iron Hands) as well as all the data slates for all currently in production Games Workshop Space Marine miniatures within those chapters. Data Slate information is well presented, and the organization is acceptable. There's a lot of included background information, more than enough for any Space Marine fan to leave happy. It brings you up to date on all current storyline changes leading to 8th edition. Picture content of models is very good, but mostly features Ultramarines with a scattering of other chapters. The new Primaris Models are front and center in most of the pictures, which is great because they are amazingly good models. Older entries all get full attention however, and the Primaris are mostly included in an equal fashion, although they generally are used by default in any artwork.I have no serious complaints about this book. Its probably one of the best codexes I've ever bought from Games Workshop.

My experience attempting to buy warhammer codexes on amazon has been less than ideal in getting editions i ordered correct (several listings for chaos demons specifically have been false) but i am pleased to inform that this listing is what it says it is, an 8th ed book for space marines. The book itself arrived in good shape and in a timely manner.
